lightly snorting... O2016RTool is the name . And the batch-script (O16-C2R-Retail2Volume+.zip) from abbodi1406 can handle O365ProPlus, too.
After uninstalling a VL Office 2016, I am having an issue where Windows Update keeps trying to install the updates in the attached screenshot. When I do a manual check for updates it will cycle 3 times between installing these updates and checking for updates. It will finally finish saying there are no updates, but if I manually check for updates, it will try to install it again. I followed the instructions exactly here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...wnload-install-activation.62571/#post-1085328 to remove the old installation and even with no office product installed, I still get this issue. Suggestions?
As legal educational version is showing the same behaviour as the "converted" versions, I would tend to the same conclusion as you (maybe a LaTex bug in this particular build). For testing, you can download older version with O2016RTool. Don't accept preselected latest version, just enter Office build 16.0.xxxx.yyyy in download dialogue to download a full setup package. Be sure to remove Office with FixIt-Tool before testing older version. at all: someone with more (LaTex-)experience willing to contribute?
Must be me being silly, but: Code: Microsoft Office\root\Licenses16\ simply does not exist in O2016 VL installation edit: Ofcourse they DO exist in C2R installation only
On Office Click2Run versions, product brand name and activation info was removed by Microsoft (changed in October 2016, before it was shown). Now only "Office logo" is shown after successful KMS-activation, nothing more. If you are worried, you can use O2016RTool's function (A) SHOW CURRENT ACTIVATION STATUS. Info in "About" window is not correct. Sometimes MS forgets to adjust version number. So please ignore. As you can see in your screenshot of uninstall section (or you use (A) function of O2016RTool): Version 16.0.8625.2139 is installed. No action needed. All is good. Only flaw was false info in "About" window.
O2016RTool can activate native Volume License Office versions. Above folder is not used when VL (native Volume) Office is detected, because License files are already active on all native (VL) Volume license Office versions. During (C)onversion, license files will be integrated into Click2Run Office. This is obsolete if native VL version is used.
That is NOT the question, but thanks for your effort All I needed are the licences files, and they are there to be used with conversion script Who says one has to run the tool at all?
thank you @ratzlefatz .. I check update but latest version.. I think you right, just eror/incorret in about..
Hello How can I convert an ISO Office 2016 C2R to "MSI" and have the options of "choice" at installation ? I tried with the MS tools, but I confess I did not understand how it worked Thanks
C2R-Retail2Volume conversion is possible for the following Main-/Sub-SKU's (source: abbodi1406 "readme.txt"): Main SKUs: ProPlus, O365ProPlus, Professional, Standard, Visio, Project Sub-SKUs : Access, Excel, Onenote, Outlook, Powerpoint, Publisher, SkypeForBusiness, Word ProPlus, O365ProPlus cover all sub-apps Professional cover all sub-apps except SkypeForBusiness Standard cover all sub-apps except Access, SkypeForBusiness - O365ProPlus and Professional SKUs have no official VL licenses, so ProPlus ones will be used in that case Error: Check/be sure, Antivirus is temporarily disabled.
