Hello I'm totally newbie and do not know almost nothing about computer...Someone before activated MS Office Professional Plus 2016 for me but now that person is far away and do not know what to do. I'm totally confused here in sea of some aberrations I do not know what they mean and I'm afraid I would do easily something wrong. Can somebody help me please what is easiest way to activate MS Office Professional Plus 2016 again? So I have it installed already and it worked until yesterday and I can't write in word any more. Thank you a lot Btw, on Internet I found there are some activators but most of them see virus and I'm afraid to download and run them...
The newbie friendly activation solution -> KMS_VL_ALL. If you are unsure or have further questions about activation there is support -> here. Download, unpack und start file "KMS_VL_ALL.cmd". Fully automatic. Always load here from MDL, then there is NO virus included. But to mention: Antivirus-programs declare "not quite legal" activation solutions (such as KMS_VL_ALL) as potential virus/hack-tool. This is a false positive. I say it twice: if you load them here from links on MDL, not from other sources.
Thanks for the help, yeah I think you can have 2 Semi-Annual Channel in your app for us to select(at any time 2 version is gonna be supported), I don't know the possibility but it will be good.
New OfficeRTool version will list 2 builds (newest and the prior) to enter for update. And of course you can manually enter any other valid distribution channel / build- number combination. Expect a new OfficeRTool release tomorrow.
A new OfficeRTool version (2018/January/13) was released today Info: Retail2Volume conversion of 2019 versions included but deactivated. Generated 2019 KMS-Keys are not included. Updated OfficeRTool will be released, as soon as official Office 2019 GVLK-keys are available. Enhancement: (U) CHANGE OFFICE UPDATE-PATH (SWITCH DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL) Now you can up-/downgrade installed Office Proplus to any build you want. OfficeRTool will maintain the last 2 versions (newest and prior) in latest-xx- files and show them in update dialogue. You need to have OfficeRTool to check for new releases at start. At the moment 16.0.xxxx.yyyy is stored as prior build-number. This will automatically change when a new build is detected at startup build-check. Prior build-number will then be saved in latest-xx-file. Example output where a specific build-number was manually entered. Insider FAST channel was selected as new distribution channel: Manually enter any build-nummer such as 16.0.xxxx.yyyy (prior build) or simply press return for updating to: 16.0.8911.2016 (newest build) Set Office update build >16.0.8765.1000 ____________________________________________________________________________ New Update-Configuration will be set to: Distribution-Channel : Insider (Office Insider FAST) Update To Version : 16.0.8765.1000 Change Configuration and start download of new Office version (1/0)? >1 After "1" was entered as confirmation, you are returned to Main Menu and internal Office Update starts with new configration in the background. In case, error Window "Something has gone wrong" appears, then you have entered a false combination of distribution-channel / build-number. MS-Office- Update doesn't find selected build and presents this more or less meaningful Window. (A) SHOW CURRENT ACTIVATION STATUS Some more info's are added. Example output shows Office 2019 ProPlus: Office 2019 ProfessionalPlus --- ProductVersion: 16.0.8911.2016 License Family: Office19ProPlus2019XC2RVL_KMS_ClientC2R Activation status: 1 (---LICENSED---) PartialProductKey: -**** Remaining KMS activation period: 179 days left - License expires at: 7/11/2018 Evaluation-/Beta-Version timebomb active - Product end-of-life: 12/31/2018 "active timebomb" line will only be schon, if there is a eol-restriction built into Evaluation-Office by Microsoft. I thought, it will be useful to know that. No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
Thanks ratzlefatz for a great app. Just a quick question, I noticed the slovak language was not included, I tried editing the skript to include sk-SK with id 1051 and it seems to have worked. Can you please confirm?
Thank you for reporting back. At project start in 2015 I used a list of what seems to be standard languages. I will take the chance and check, if there are more missing languages ready to support. As slovak Office is confirmed by you to work, I will add this (and other) language(s) to next OfficeRTool version.
A new OfficeRTool version (2018/January/14) was released today Enhancement: [D] DOWNLOAD OFFICE OFFLINE INSTALL PACKAGE - Added missing slovak (sk-SK) and bulgarian (bg-BG) languages - Changed language selection check to fall back to en-US language at no or false input No other changes were made. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
If you wish to complete the set Code: sl-si 1060 Slovenian sr-latn-rs 9242 Serbian (Latin) ms-my 1086 Malaysian id-id 1057 Indonesian kk-kz 1087 Kazakh hr-hr 1050 Croatian
To be close to perfect... Sure. Will be a silent update to 2018Jan14 version. I will change this post, when it's online. UPDATE: changed version is online now. Download-links and checksums in OP were updated.
I seem to be having trouble with detection of installation directory, the key is present HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Office\ClickToRun\Configuration\InstallationPath -> C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office I bypassed the problem by manualy changing: Line 1299 set "_ProPlusRetail=YES" Line 1321 set "installpath16=C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office" Line 1326 if %errorlevel% EQU 1 goto:CheckOffice16C2R Then it worked, have no idea why there is a problem.
Was any Office installed on this system before? Please use Fix-It-Tool from post#4 (solution 5.) to wipe Office from system. Be sure to exactly follow instructions in post#4 regarding FixIt-Tool usage. And don't miss the 2 reboots. They are needed! Then start a new install.
That is exactly what I did. Even though after installing a fresh office after the two restarts it still didnt work. I will try on a different PC to see if it will work.
Rather strange. I just removed my test-environment and re-installed Office 2016 ProPlus, x86 on Windows 10 Pro, x64 using latest OfficeRTool 2018/January/14 without any issues. Conversion, KMS-activation and all checks work ok. Did you succeed on the other PC? Anyone else out there having similar problems?
Hi, I have a question about the SWITCH DISTRIBUTION CHANNEL / MANUALLY START UPDATE TO GET A NEWER VERSION feature. AFAIK, those channels (which you listed as 1-5) are for office 365 subscribers. I'm pretty sure about this, because I've searched all over the web for a way to set the update channel for a VL edition of Office 2016 to semi-annual, but I've been repeatedly met with the same answer: it's only reserved for office 365-based installations. I'm not asking if this feature of OfficeRTOOL provides the same functionality as Microsoft's built-in ways of setting update channels. Those are for automatic updates without requiring user intervention while the OfficeRTOOL's feature is, as far as I undestand, meant for manual updates. What I'm asking is this: EVEN AFTER a C2R version is converted to VL and activated with KMS, would it be possible to update Office to the latest version offered within user-defined channel with this ? If yes, then that would be a great news to me since, I've been longing to keep my copy of Office 2016 in track, but only twice a year, out of concern for stability. Thanks in advance for your reply.
Thanks a lot for this app. I think, I've found a bug. Today I wanted to activate Office on my other system, and my other system's username is like this: "A & B" (w/o the quotation marks) When I clicked on "OfficeRTool.cmd", PowerShell windows popped up and then gone after like 1 second, so I tried to run it manually (Ran PowerShell as administrator, cd to the directory I've put the files and finally ./OfficeRTool.cmd). After doing that, I got an error something like this, Could not find A ... . I think, the problem is, that my username contains "Spaces" AND "Ampersand", which caused this bug. Thanks.
We are talking about starting of OfficeRTool? OfficeRTool window opens and closes immediatedly? What naming has full path and directory OfficeRTool was saved in? 1.) OfficeRTool cannot run from root \. You always must use a directory and start it from there. 2.) Filename and Path must not contain any special characters such as brackets (). Related to your case: Ampersand "&" as special character is the problem. VB-Script- and Powershell-commands to check/get admin rights have restrictions here. I haven't found a solution to circumvent this. To get OfficeRTool up and running, you could de-activate admin-check in OfficeRTool.cmd by commenting out the complete block "check admin rights" (= lines 012 to 036) and start OfficeRTool with rightclick -> run as administrator. Not very comfortable, because you need to do that on every new OfficeRTool release. OR You create a new environment, where directory/path names are without "special characters" and move OfficeRTool to it. This is the best.
Thanks for replying, and sorry for my late reply. Yeah, OfficeRTool closes immediately. My problem was number 2. My Path had special characters and this has prevented OfficeRTool from opening. This is the error, I was getting -> No destination specified for: C:\Users\A. Even though my user name is A & B, which means OfficeRTool was looking only for the string before "& B". But apparently this is VB-Script & PowerShell restrictions. I changed my windows altogether and chose an username which didn't have any "Special Chars and/or Spaces" . Everything is all good now. Thanks a lot.
