You might check your BIOS if you can set it to USB 2.0 mode during use of w7... Edit: Hadn't it USB 2.0 ports only at the backside? What about to plug your mouse and keyboard there as long as you use w7? From Gigabyte: 6 x USB 2.0/1.1 ports (2 ports on the back panel, 4 ports available through the internal USB headers)
Aren't on many new hardware all usb ports (USB2 and USB3.x) controlled by xhci, and therefore the driver integration is needed?
Can be true, yes. Depends on the board. Still to check BIOS if there is legacy 2.0 mode available. If not then an integration is unavoidable.
i try usb 2.0 port but it disnt work i searched on net someone say you have to try NLite Software but its expensive so i think i will just activate my windows 10 using kms cmd. i dont think i have any other option ;(
You must have done something wrong, it worked for all my real N hwid's. And in the VM's on all tests.
The summary describes the original upgrade path until July 29, 2016 which still works. To go for Enterprise use KMS.
I've had this issue on several newer motherboard and NUCs trying to use the win 7 to win 10 path with daz. There are tools for motherboard manufactures that will inject the drivers for you and create a bootable USB or an ISO just need an ISO or DVD of the Windows 7 install disk. The issue is they are mostly set up the USB stick for UEFI and that mandates a GPT partition that doesn't work with daz. I found a hack shortcut for that. Use the Intel USB 3.0 boot creator, (you'll need a second flash drive). Then when the Intel Win 7 usb 3.0 install flash creator is finished simply copy and replace the boot.wim and the install.wim from the intel created USB stick you just made with it to your mbr formatted boot USB stick with Win 7 on it. (you can backup the .wim files first to be safe in another folder on your computer)
Why not just go the 8.1 Pro KMS route > upgrade to 10586 Pro > clean install 17134.xx Pro and you don't have problems with UEFI.
Because I despise Win 8 Idk I just saw in the thread recently that you could do KMS with this method so I haven't tried that yet.
You can despise 8, i was talking about 8.1 and it is better to establish a hwid for 10 Pro on UEFI systems
Win 8.1 pro any version as I think the kms activator will change the edition too if required from retail to VL by inserting required key.Win 10 1511 pro obviously needs to be retail.
Please can i use my windows 7 license on windows 10? I want to download windows 10 but i dont have the license.
Yes You can but usually You don't need to do use it. To download Windows 10 is no key required. You need the key to activate Windows, but if you already have Windows 7 installed on your computer, then you do not need any kind of keys. I have a laptop that came with Windows 10 Home. I’m trying to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I downloaded Windows 8.1 iso using the MCT and installed 8.1 Pro Used MTK to activate. Now I want to upgrade with 1511 but it’s reading the key in the BIOS and wanting to install Home. I created a ei.cfg file and placed it in the Sources folder. The file looks like this [EditionID] Professional [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 When I click on Setup.exe, it does its thing and says it going to install Home. I’m not sure what to do next. One more question, this laptop has no Ethernet port, just wireless. I cannot find a wireless driver to work with Win 8. I tried the the driver from HP’s website and I tried Snappy Driver Installer. I have a usb wireless dongle that I’m using. Will that be a problem trying to upgrade?
