I dind't undolder the chips. It is not bricked. Still working, but with password. Can you make smc.bin? Or I make mistake with extracting the bios files - there are two files in the hp source - 68ice und 68icf

 

Smc.bin provide only Hp support nobody can.For password you need soldering chip i can unlock via bios file i remove inside password your file.

first of all thank you for the amazing tool and written support.
As HP is not longer sending out .BIN files I am now a little lost.
I got a second hand laptop and the BIOS is locked so I can do changes.

Would your tool be able to unlock a HP 840 G3 BIOS? I tried hard to understand all your posts, but was unable to do the right things. (Sorry for my englisch)

I have a little problem with reading bios chip with raspberry pi 2 on my Hp 8770w , flashrom show this message , multiple flash chip definitions match the detected , and no read correctly my chip, is problem with voltage bus on motherboard ?
How to fix?

Hi I wonder what kind of problem you are experiencing, I have the exact same model and the same issue upgrading the BIOS. I am getting lots of BSOD, I get these messages every time: Stop Code: DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL, due to a NTOSKNL.exe and a frigging old BIOS.

 

I wonder the same, did you get luck solving this issue, if so would you mind sharing
