So far I only restored an earlier backup of pre-shredded 1809 because oddly NVidia CP became inaccessible. Every time something goes wrong, every time... Now back to square 1 to re-trace all my steps to figure exactly what caused this well-expected surprise. Thankfully NTLite Windows massacration was divided into precise (and yet generic...) steps, each one with its own preset, such as "Drivers", "HW Support", "Network", "Remote bla bla", "System", and "Windows Apps". Once I figure out which generic (and yet precise..?) part misbehaved so drastically as to cause me to spend this extra time troubleshooting a well-executed assault on truly well-compiled OS, I will have no choice but to figure out exactly which specific sub-component of those generic presets was the huligan of this ordeal. It won't be difficult, just time consuming. Once that is done, I will likely report my findings to NTLite developer for him to squeeze out yet another bug out, but most likely not, since the likely sub-component is most-likely to have some reference to NVidia (and yes, one does exist!). The end-result of all this has always been the one and only - restoration of only partially butchered (by MSMG Toolkit) LTSB 1607 and enjoying some game until MS releases yet another ISO of 1809 LTSC.
sorry if this has been asked before but why are homebrew iso and decrypted esd links not allowed? i guess i missed the reason. i used to get my builds here but you guys have made it overly complicated to just download a build, what with all the tools and batches you have to download and figure out just to obtain an image and then make an iso. i miss the easy days when you guys just shared builds and we downloaded them. is it because the only distribution source is the crappy uu platform? nowadays i get my builds from wincentral which has direct links to iso's and betaarchive ftp which has regular builds added. no work needed jut extract or mount and install.
I was already aware of that but found it too fiddly, ever since windows 10 came around and all the new crap got added, things have got more complicated. we used to be able to just download untouched isos and not have all the stuff inbetween. at least there's some simple alternatives. tech bench unlocked betaarchive ftp (need account which is free) wincentral downloads
What is overly complicated ??? From the time I start the UUP download to the finished ISO, maybe 10 minutes. What is the problem ?
I am guessing because homebrew ISOs could contain extra stuff, there is no way to guarantee that they are safe.
so far Microsoft has been "hush hush" (aka. silent) as to when they will re-release 1809 that's sort of a good thing considering all the backlash MS has gotten this October
i dont think this build is ever going to go public this is looking more and more like a classical MS flop
