Most mainboard manufacturer do include software that allow you to change your uefi bios setting from windows without booting to bios screen. Major brand from Asus, Msi, Gigabyte should have for their mainstream to high end model.
True, but this was an out of the box installation with the March (February) 2019 release. This is where comes the weirdness. Something has changed in the applicability of the LCU in very short time frame.
Thanks. I am only aware of GIGABYTE BIOS Setup. Could you please show some more example? I want to build a new PC and it's one of my factors in making purchase decision. I'm not a fan of GIGABYTE MBs.
17763.404 (kb4490481) is gone from UUP now. 17763.379 (KB4489899) is now back in RP ring. Back in RP and Retail Release ring!! https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...53-316-379-pc-rs5.77945/page-267#post-1513688
When you decide on a Motherboard, go to there Web Site, to the Model you want, then go to Support. There you will find what Bios Updates are available for the Motherboard. .
Yes, I installed LTSC today and updated , and the latest version is 379. Now I know that the 404 is retired from Windows Update
Download ISO Windows 10 v1809, mount or extract the iso, and run setup for upgrade. After upgrade, you can check Windows Update to get latest hotfix.. But, yes, its better to wait from Windows Update which mean your devices is ready to upgrade to v1809.
