from windows store i got intel control panel which is now obsolete as the new one is intel graphics command center on my 8th gen intel on windows 1909; regular driver updates have been through windows update, the intel download center and intel driver and support utility as i regularly check all these on top of the windows store for app updates
@Sako549 I honestly appreciate the effort, i appreciate the help, any help at all So i got the intel gpu driver it self installed using the downloaded file. But getting the intel gpu control panel now requires the windows store, ltsc doesnt come with the store. Thats infact one of the reasons i installed ltsc, to not have the windows store lol. @MSMG Could you give me a quick run down on how to first manually download the store app, and then manually install it? (I am somewhat familiar with DISM, but i only used it to add drivers to an install iso) @Excalibur0076 Man it seems microsoft wants everything to go thru them :-/ Being on windows 7, i didnt realize just how much things have changed.
You'll find the Nvidia control panel will be at the Store as well. Your audio stuff will come from the Store too. ie Realtek Audio Console\Control, Nahimic3, SoundBlaster Connect, etc...
On my original windows 10 home install from the factory, the nvidia control panel was the normal one, not a store app. I guess im lucky in this regard? So i expect to have no problems with the nvdia stuff. But the audio stuff unfortunately is all windows store app based, so are the rgb controlls.
you don't need to have the microsoft store installed. just install the intel driver and windows will automatically download and install the control panel UWP app in the background, even on LTSC. -andy-
oh no no, you misunderstood. i dont want to install the microsoft store, i just want to manually install the intel graphics control app. i want to manually download the app as a file(s) and then manually install it.
Wow thank you! Youve probably saved me a couple hours and alot of frustration. Im going to be trying this now, and hopefully finally having my laptop up and fully running.
