I’m trying to recover internal audio on an Acer Predator G3-571 running Windows 10 22H2. Hardware: - Acer Predator G3-571 - Intel HD 630 (6th/7th gen) - Realtek ALC255 - Hybrid audio architecture (Intel Smart Sound Technology + Realtek) Problem: Internal audio is completely missing: - No “Sound, video and game controllers” - No “Audio inputs and outputs” - Only Intel SST Audio Controller sometimes appears under System Devices - HDMI and USB audio work correctly Key finding: This system requires an OEM Realtek audio package that includes the Intel SST bus driver. The critical INF file appears to be: - iavsstd1.inf Drivers tested (confirmed incompatible / cause BSOD or no audio): - Intel SST 10.23.x (2023–2025) - Realtek 6.0.8947.1 - Generic Microsoft HD Audio drivers What works: - Linux (ALSA/PipeWire): internal audio works perfectly - External USB audio interface works in Windows What I’m looking for: A single OEM Realtek audio package for this model (or similar Acer Skylake/Kaby Lake laptops) that includes: - iavsstd1.inf - HDXRT.inf or HDXRTSST.inf Likely date range: 2017–2020 If anyone archived this driver or has a recovery image / OEM installer, I’d really appreciate it.
Disable audio DSP in BIOS to make things easy (revert to HDA on OSs); I did it on VN7-572G, PH315-51-78NP, and PH317-51 (Skylake-ish Predators) I flashed unlocked BIOSes, but I'd try UMAF: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...mdformbrowser-boot-unlocked-bios-menus.89957/
