I hereby confirm that this reg edit file WORKS LIKE A CHARM at the last cumulative update for version 1703 (KB4016240) !!!! MILLION THANX dobbelina !!!!
I can't understand why it seems to work for others but not myself... What build of 1703 are you using? I'm currently @ 15063.138
Updated an hour ago.... right now version 1703 - build 15063.250 (windows 10 pro) Just get the KB4016240 patch.
Now what is left to return is the respective switch in the Settings app - although I'm fine with Group Policy so far First they kill it, then they reintroduce it - Microsoft really doesn't have a strategy these days. I imagine a guy who has kind of a bipolar disorder and changes his mind about features & policies according to whatever mood he is currently in. BTW I've read on the news that the registry key also works on Home.
Excellent news, finally some sense from MS. Many thanks for all the tweaks over the months/years, dobbelina. Now let's see if we can get back to changing the login screen again!
I was directed here by your application. It says my DLL is not supported and to come here for a patch. What information is needed?

Hi, I have ver 1507 build 14393.1198. How can i remove the lockscreen plz? Could someone plz provide me the exact steps needed. thx
Same here! I thought Windows automatically installs the latest builds? But I'm on the same as above... Please fix this build?
@Harry Morgen I used .7zip to zip file, also downloaded what i supplied and extracted with 7zip and no errors. I supplied the file for OP @dobbelina so that he could kindly patch it for those of us still on Build 1607
Yes, I could use it too. I thought the current update to the original post showed that the Group Policy Editor would work again but have had no luck getting anything to work and it's driving me nuts so thanks for any help. I finally downloaded the Creator Update and the group policy editor fix is working again.
Hi everybody, I'm coming from Windows 10 Pro x64 build 14393.1538 and for a long time I've been using dobbelina's LogonController patch, the latest version that I know of is v6. As hard as I have been trying NOT to update, it still did and now this LogonController patch doesn't work any longer (MDS error or something). What is the latest solution for removing the lockscreen? Right now I have it only when I startup, but even that is annoying. Please let me know.
