I mean when someone else starts the computer. With automatic login he is in my pc and in my account, or do I misunderstand something.
Because several users are configured on my main pc at home. On the laptops of the other members of my family I use automatic login and never see tle lock/login screen.
First post has been updated to LogonController_Patchv3.zip. It now Patches LogonController.dll versions: 10.0.14393.206 10.0.14393.479
Thanks a bunch. Fantastic work. I was getting so fed up of the sloth that Microsoft was serving me. Happy Christmas, good chap.
I'll have a look at it tomorrow. If there's no major changes a patch will be made avaliable. Correct, it's a perpetuum mobile project
I deleted LogonController.dll. LogonController.bak renamed to LogonController.dll. Then utility worked fine. Sorry for my bad english.
Latest Cumulative Update 10.0.14393.576 still uses LogonController.dll v10.0.14393.479 If you update Windows via WU, and you got a patched dll, you have to manually delete the LogonController.bak file from System32 if the LogonController.dll gets replaced, otherwise the patcher wont run again. (access denied message if you try to restore, or Already Patched if you try to patch again )
Hello dobbelina, according to your utility, I successfully installed this tweak, but I've got one question: I am running Windows 10 Pro x64 14393.576, is it normal the lock screen disappears only when I start up the PC and not, for example, if I lock the workstation (Windows + L)? Thanks! My bad, had "Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen" disabled now it's perfect! Do you know if group policies to remove junk from the lock screen are needed with your tweak or they're redundant?
Hi JackusCTB, They are redundant as the lock screen is surgically removed. The "sign-in screen" is still clutter free, but who knows, maybe Cortana will greet you there one day with puffy lips
