Hi, Here's the 594 DLL for Windows x86: www .mwyann.com/divers/LogonController_594_x86.zip md5 = 509C9E1A9DA6CAA6E405DEA9345AC7B3 Thanks Yann
First post has been updated to LogonController_Patchv4.zip Patches LogonController.dll versions: 10.0.14393.479 10.0.14393.594 (Latest Cumulative Update 10.0.14393.693 still uses LogonController.dll v10.0.14393.594) Both 32 & 64 bit is included
Potential issue Hey dobbelina, I've been using the patch for a few months and absolutely love it. I just upgraded to the latest version and it's working smoothly, however... Earlier today I re-applied Patch v2.1 after a Windows update and it completely prevented me from logging back in. Instead of a login screen I got a loading cursor and a black background. My solution was to use Windows Recovery Environment to shut down Windows fully, mount the Windows filesystem from a Linux USB drive, and replace the corrupt DLL with the one linked above. I'm posting this in the hope that my experience can help someone else who might get the same issue.
Thank you for the file. but LogonController_Patchv4 don't work any more on my computer I see on every start the terrible logon screen
Works for both Home & Pro 32 & 64bit Extract LogonController_Patch folder to somewhere, and execute Install.cmd as Administrator. To restore backed up LogonController.dll, execute same script. As a safety feature you can't apply a patch twice, as you would then overwrite the backup file. The script looks for LogonController.bak in the system32 folder which is the backupfiles name. If you update Windows via WU, and you got a patched dll, you have to manually delete the LogonController.bak file from System32 if the LogonController.dll gets replaced, otherwise the patcher wont run again. (access denied message if you try to restore, or Already Patched if you try to patch again ) Patches LogonController.dll versions: 10.0.14393.479 10.0.14393.594 (Latest Cumulative Update 10.0.14393.693 still uses LogonController.dll v10.0.14393.594)[/QUOTE] Love your patch and hate the logon screen. Is there anyway you can make an auto update for the patch? Rick
This is crazy that we have to keep on running these just to keep up with MS. No pointers from me, as I just barely able to figure out how to run the patch.
I ran the patch version 4 just now, but it causes a black screen instead of a lock screen. I cannot get past the black screen, so I must hold the power button until the computer loses power, then power up again. The computer works until I sleep and wake for the first time, where I get stuck with a black screen again. The black screen shows the visual effects for touches when I touch my screen, so Windows is running. I reverted the patch successfully, but I would like to disable my lock screen still. Any ideas? Vivotab Note 8 tablet running Windows 10 Home with all updates.
Use the Windows key + R keyboard shortcut to open the Run window. Type netplwiz. Click OK. Click your account within the Users for this computer field. Click the checkbox beside Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer. ... Click Apply
It didn't work. I unchecked it, applied, rebooted, still the same black screen issue. I also checked it and rebooted, same issue. After I revert the patch I can swipe the lock screen away fine. The checkbox didn't seem to change anything sine I have no password set, and login after sleep set to 'never'. So I never log in anyway. I did also try setting a password, but I got the black screen issue again. Has anyone else had this issue? It is a fresh Windows install with all updates, and the patcher said the md5 matched. I was hoping it would work.
He Just PM'ed me, I can't use the language he used, X rated, but the message was clear, he said we all started tailgating early for Cam Bowl, I think he's under the influence of something I think Said he feels confused and real hungry
