If you select to install the USB3 drivers in the boot.wim it should work (it does on hardware that supports win 7), If you select to integrate the USB3 drivers into the install.wim they will work on the installed windows too, maybe you need to provide the proper drivers, the tool only contains some and those i needed for my hardware to work, best to provide the specific ones for your hardware. Your suggested tool is not really the aim of this tool.
the issue with a modernized windows 7 (and XP if I may add), booting out of USB3, is that when usb driver updates occur in the future, the boot functionality is gone. an automated (watchdog) process to preserve this, is missing. it is impressive, that Windows to Go functionality for < Windows 8 is not a major demand, at least I have not found any long term dedicated community project for this. the problem I guess is the lack of a unified USB3 stack which makes things quite complicated and difficult to support. even Windows embedded, a Windows 7 version with a native windows to go functionality, there is no community activity for a modernized version such as this project for example. Two questions: 1. Do the Windows 10 ISOs and Windows 7 ISOs to put in the source directory require the same architecture, like x86 or x64? 2. Do I have to be in Windows 7 to perform the integration?
