Hello everyone, I ran into the following error while installing W7 Enterprise created with the tool that was graciously made available in the first post: 'Windows could not update the computer's boot configuration' This happens at the end of the first phase of OS installation after all the files/updates are unpacked but just before the first reboot. For the record, I did not encounter any errors when preparing the W7 Enterprise iso, using MSDN W7 ultimate and W10 consumer 1809 iso together with the latest Update pack; no other files were added. Some more details/attempts at bruteforcing a solution that didn't work: - Mobo is Asrock Z270 Pro4 (latest BIOS version, 2.7) - Secure Boot is OFF, CSM is enabled with PXE, Storage and Video opROM all set to Legacy. I changed UEFI settings to default at one point - Burned the iso on a DVD-RW. Manually selected the optical disc from boot priority list. Also attempted to boot through UEFI and SATA interchangeably - Ran diskpart clean cmd my HDD multiple times. Other commands I tried were - bootrec /RebuildBcd , /fixMbr and /fixboot. The first two returned 'operation was completed successfully' messages (with one exception in regards to /rebuildBcd which I am unable to reproduce). I was *not* able to use /fixboot command, getting an 'access denied' message but I didn't get around trying to fix that yet. I'm a newb and I failed to find other posts regarding this error and it is specific to the iso made with the tool (I have a 'clean' W7 Pro iso where it doesn't happen) so I let me know if I should post it elsewhere. Thank you in advance // Update 2 hours later: I created a bootable USB using the same iso, ran it with CSM disabled / legacy usb set to 'UEFI only' and ended up with the same 'boot configuration' error.
