On 8.1 and up it will run, on 22483 (no more wmic) it could be problematic, didn't check the code for it yet.
Hi. I'm running the legacy script from the download on the 1st post. I followed the instructions and get only very few errors and the iso file is produced at the end, a mere 361MB, am I dreaming ? Anyway, the output log at the end is clean and the errors I get are from the output of the command line. By the way I did run the script as Admin, as the instructions say. Anyway, first error is the following (I'll leave the other errors for later in case they're connected with this one or whatever...): Code: 'C:\Win7_11_2021\New' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. I do have a folder on that path, but it's called "New folder", so somewhere in the script there is a command that doesn't like spaces or something... I'm gonna try with renaming the folder to avoid spaces and report back but I though it would be informative to let you know this. Maybe it's buried somewhere in the thread to not use spaces but I couldn't find it and I did search a lot... Thanks for your work!
Please make a GUI for your project, I can't deal or understand your short hints. You made the code, so you understand what it does. But no one will understand the code without full guidance like his own writer. I followed your instructions, but with no success.
@Enthousiast It was the bleeping space, all ok now ! I think some information could be on the 1st post, for example had some trouble finding that the legacy version is now included in the download from the 1st post... But hey, can't complain! @casio4ever Your problem seems a lot like mine, check you have no spaces in the directory names that make up the path to where you have unpacked SiMPLiX.
That's why I asked op to make a GUI ? Because no one will understand simple text guide 100% like the writer himself. That's why I hate cmdlets/Scripts, because the end user will not understand how the brain of the code writer really works. All he wants is a simple interface with some check boxes here and there to get the job done with short steps. You can review my uploads to see why I feel lost.
ok as he OP hates me & dont want me to comment on his threads i can only say its ok for me & work flawlessly at my side always.
I'm asking for a help. If you know how I can treat these problems. Don't hesitate to offer your generous knowledge.
https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-install-wim-esd-creation.79421/#post-1516361 It's putting ISO in Legacy ISO sources folder, WAs in WA folder, EXE in exe folder, etcetc... and run the legacy cmd (recommended).
What are you going to tell him that can't be published in public? You are not asked for anything in here.
I am just suggesting him the steps to use your tool so that it will result in a simplixed updated iso for him as you were busy holding another threads on MDL. plus i know if i will be suggesting him here on your thread you will again say something else for me which i dont want to get repeated again. thats all.
Excuse me, I ask you to read my comments again, I've got enough short hints. If you have enough time to learn me, I'll be your sincere apprentice. And If you don't have time, please don't make my life harder than it is.
How can it be that someone who can't code (ME) can come up with this tool but you can't figure out what to place where and what to run, based on the provided info?
Can you check my uploads before judging me ? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...l-wim-esd-creation.79421/page-77#post-1705218
