@Enthousiast; Installation start time - 1:25:58 11.02.2022 Installation finish time - 150 11.02.2022 All updates added in just 6 minutes? Why do my transactions take 1 hour? I have SSD and Antivirus is turned off
I run it on my beast: i7 11700, NVME pcie gen 4 Samsung 980 Pro 1TB ssd and 64GB DDR4 3200MHz Code: Total installation time of UpdatePack - 05:52 x64 will run in approx. 8min.
But i didn't update it, yet. And it's just 6 WA files, 3 x64 and 3 x86 and the DotnetFX48 LPs when needed.
Ah! I thought you said so in https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-210#post-1721895 OK, I will wait for the update then. Thank you anyway.
I updated the post to which i linked at, not the post with the full zip. I was planning to stop posting the full zip WA package files, because as i said before, it's just a 1 time download for the directx WAs (they won't be updated ever, so that is a onetime download), the dotnetfx48 and vcedist WAs are regularly updated but then it's a simple download when they are updated and the dotnetfx48 LP won't ever be updated too.
What exact steps did you do? What were the exact MSDN/MVS source ISOs used? The one i responded to mixed en-US with en-GB source ISOs.
Hi. Reading the Legacy Tool's How to Use, it doesn't say anything about installing the 8.1/10 ADK (dism tools) Non-Insider Preview, if running on Win 7. Is it not necessary or is it implied that it needs to be installed?
Well, I can clearly see that as well in the first post for the modern tool, but not on the second one, where it specifically talks about the Legacy Tool. That's why I asked. Maybe it is implied, as I said. Is it? And why the snarky comment?
Windows 7 dism is insufficient to service itself properly, so Win 8.1/10 ADK is always best to be installed.
Yes, i removed all not officially ESU supported SKUs from the legacy script created ISO, on the modern scripts it still is present on the resulting ISO (still not enough motivation to start editing them and lots of other things to do atm Als my focus is on the legacy script).
@Enthousiast Does the SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Full_Tool_2_9_22.2.10 referred to here exist currently? If not, will it be made available at a later date? Please clarify as I just tried to download the tool from the link in this post and noticed that it was an older version. Thank you.
