    EDIT: Using StopWinUpdates working as intended. I can finally have windows store experience without forced things yaaaaaaaaaay :). Thank you @BALTAGY for making it.

    Best regards.

    Hey, I want to disable any forced updates on my system, including defender updates and driver updates. I'm using windows store so I need any methods that doesn't break windows update service. Basically I need methods that's compatible with;
    • Ability to install updates via third party update tools (like wumgr)
    • Doesn't break any windows store experience
    Here is list of things I tried;
    1) Sledgehammer
    Updates still installs when store settings enabled in configuration.

    2) WPD
    Updates installs when "Access to all Windows Update features" setting enabled

    3) WuMGr
    Can't use store when automatic updates disabled.

    4) O&Oshutup10
    Stupidest option ever, it just changes windows update service startup settings to disabled. Updates still forced installed.

    5) Windows Update Toggle
    Currently using it but have to disable TrustedInstaller and Windows Update Service. I liked idea of this script, it just set unavailable service to depend on selected service.

    6) Wu10Man
    Didn't work. Updates still download/install

    Any help is greatly appreciated but please don't say "use linux" or "you must update your system in order to get safe" things.

    Best regards.

    If you have to use the store 24/7 you have to leave the windows update service running 24/7. If the store is more important to you than controlling updates, you'll have to try everything I guess. If you don't like anything you've tried, you can try StopWinUpdates since you didn't mention it.

    is it win 10 home version. win 10 home is so crippled that almost nothing works, actually something works but messes system deeply.

    i'm using win 10 enterprise and basically gpedit and i haven't found big issues, minor issues have been though. store is functional but has separate setting. i use wumgr, but noticed something weird in recent update.
