From the answers i have seen at ms they are about as useful as a fishnet condom. It wont be a big loss.
How true. It always seems that after all is said and done, their very last bit of advice is to "re-install Windows". LOL.
MS (monopoly service) is slowly dying, It is trying to bully everyone, by force, into 10 icing out good hardware etc. "They" (Wall St Pentagon elite) seem to imagine they can continue emptying our wallets by turning our OS's (operating systems) in their involuntary monopoly service. 10 is defined, literally and officially, as an operating Service, not system. It has devolved into a massive and rude fishhook operation. DOS 6.2 was so polite, which Gates stole from CPM. Then he put WP on a treadmill, so his completely inferior product would look better. XP had fishhooks enough. Once removed, they were gone, and an XP system remained stable. Finding and pulling fishhooks out of 7 system is a big one at my age. Ms keeps putting them back. (BIG Thank you MDL all!! I mean that so seriously!!) Personally, after fishhooks-7, I don't see fishhooks-10 on the horizon. I'm watching/hoping ReactOS. The question that Torvalds asked not so long ago is being rewritten to something like -- Do you pine for the day when your operating system was actually your own, and you owned it fishhook free? It's coming.
Posted my thoughts on the matter here https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-on-answers-microsoft-com.77263/#post-1443733 More or less, this isn't a loss at all.
This because they focusing on windows 10. I think they right. Maybe because windows 10 has more bugs than windows 7 and 8.1.
In all my 10 years of experience working with computers I never found a single answer on microsoft's forums. Most of the replies were automated, and their actual answers were copied from other sites. They had no content of their own. I say good riddance.
They are starting to drop Win 7 Hardware support for old Hardware like Pentium III. This is being done thru CU's being released lately.
