No one can argue with that, I have tried all the variants and didnt really like any of them that much apart from Mint, I just couldnt get on with the original Ubuntu.
Within a few days i am going to switch to linux again (pop os). I used windows 11 for testing. Last year i moved away from windows 10 and used pop os 21.04-21.10. For some reason i miss linux, because i hate windows more and more these days. Got a update last time and my disabled telemetry got enabled again, each update needs a reboot (which i hate so much) and the os just is not it. i am a windows user sinds windows 3.1 … but after windows 7 ms took the wrong path that i wont follow. I want freedom and not getting spied with all their forced things enabled or microsoft to decide what tech i need to run their last toy (forcing tpm/secure boot and so on) The games i play are working great in linux using steam proton, some games ran better in linux then they ever did in windows. I am happy to see that steam has his own deck and own os, linux gets more and more love these days. Things might change in the future, windows is a sinking ship. Pop OS! 22.04 … here i come
Windows 11 is very polished but as you say very annoying. Two hours worth of major updates the other night, just for the OS with multiple restarts. Linux updates the OS and all installed software usually in just a few minutes and a restart is rarely required. Unfortunately I am stuck with Windows for the life of my present PC. Pop OS sounds good, never tried it but the reviews are always positive, good luck with it
I use Debian only, specialy on my Raspberri Pi 3, like a seedbox and DNS resolver, for that is a good OS
Latest windows editions are very stable Didn't have bsod long time ... Last time I remember it was because of my fault
