does this tool has the option to integrate dart into the actual recovery partition that already existis on my windows 11 26h2 installed system?
Nice to see 26H1 support added. For that optimize error, it often happens when install.wim is actually an ESD/compressed image or the host DISM is older than the ISO build, so exporting it to a clean WIM with matching ADK usually gets it moving.
do you know any tool or tutorial to do the integraton on a live system? another question: i integrated dart into win 11 26h2 pt-br iso. is it ok if i use ntlite to personalize this iso? is this going to work and dart will still be there?
Nope, only the manual diy info by @murphy78 IMO, it's never ok to use that, specially when people have to ask if it can be used That will be at your own risk.
I intergrate it in 26H2 iso. i boot from usb but when click on repair your computer nothing happen. i intergrate in boot.wim and in Winre.wim
Repair your computer has been broken for quite some time on official MSFT ISOs, when you update the ISO using W10UI then it will be fixed, iirc @abbodi1406 somewhere published a quick fix, i am trying to find it. I think i found it: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/threads/windows-11-esd-repository.83747/page-24#post-1922096
This is one of the threads but it was boot.wim only afaik"https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...-recovery-toolset-dart-7-0.28645/#post-788429 But you could create the ISO with DaRT integrated, take out the winre.wim (install.wim\1\windows\system32\recovery\winre.wim) and boot the system, using a winpe or other live/boot os, replace the winre.wim and see if that works. Or perform an inplace/repair upgrade, as suggested above, with an uptodate ISO with DaRT inregrated.
I've never modded DaRT into a winre.wim on a live system. I imagine that you would have to mess with a lot of system protections and possibly hidden partition issues. Then you would need to re-enable it, which I'm not sure it would allow. The thing about adding DaRT into a bootable ISO is that it can also function that way, although it won't have all of the features. You just have to make sure it is the boot.wim for the same type of install iso that your system was installed from. For example: if you installed win 11 26h2 pt-br into your system previously, you want to use that same iso to add DaRT into the boot.wim for the extra recovery features.
There's also the permissions. I don't know if we could do the typical takeown stuff. I vaguely remember either reading about this stuff or tinkering with it back in the day and coming to the conclusion that it wasn't worth it. On the other hand, MS does it when they update, so it's clearly possible. Leaving the permissions in a modified state could pose a security risk.
