I know you can upgrade an MSMG Toolkit image with a newer image serviced with MSMG Toolkit.But i'm confused about just using windows update. unless you mean windows update wont download/install a newer windows version or has blocks for this?
Still not having much luck scripting tookithelper. Got it to start making installable images pulling CEIS_SQL (customer experience) when removing the first half of the toolkithelper component list. Added the rest of the list and it starting bombing on installs again. Looks like it happens during device setup after the first reboot. Well that's it for me, I'll have to wait for the next release before I mess with it anymore.
I may have to rebuild 6 Windows 7 computers tomorrow. Going to need to integrate USB 3 and NVMe drivers into my image. I can't find a reference to what the last version of MSMG supported Windows 7... can someone please refresh my failing memory. TNX EDIT: Ughh! As soon as I post I find a reference... MSMG said: ↑ v8.8 is left to be in the main folder to support W7-10 RS4. The updated ToolKitHelper.exe is for RS5 only.
hi there, my thanks for msmg toolkit! completely removed all windows apps, system apps, and advanst components. the resulting windows iso worked without issues. would it be at all possible to add keyboard layout removable support? keep the ones you use remove all others? or put keyboard layouts you wish to keep in a file and ones that are not specified get removed? bit like the apps list concept? e.g. you would put the layouts you want to keep e.g. en-gb also would it be possible in the integrate sub menu I select drivers it asks which image you want to integrate to? To have a forth option to integrated in to all mounted images? Would be a useful option If the first option will take time to implement down the road, it does not matter the second sounds great I hope my post makes some sort of sense Happy new year each and every one of you for tomorrow! this tool has evolved for a long time. rushing brings absolutely zero, nothing.. until ms and / or windows is dead (the company as well as windows will die one day!) the game is not to end. mhh yes, i did even more than just trying! because i decided microslop IS DEAD, according to my internet use for the rest of continues, i use linux for >2 month now! beside again solving this incredible bug with the encrypted home directory and so easily running linux 3 or 4 times unbootable, i have new shoes now (the impact and brutality of the bug it knocked me out of my shoes), leaned using it better and are happier than ever with it! windows nothing more than "sadness" and a not passing disappointment to degrees! even changing the user profile picture is a gigantic task in that crappy system if it got the only possible therapy..
I load all the user profile pictures to mounted install.wim, that way it is there automatically, and I don't need to worry about anything.
Does MSMG will properly work with Windows 10 Enterprise 2016 (LTSB)? I wanted to de-bloat this version further and also want to remove Windows Defender, etc. just like removing all the crap from Windows 10 Home and Pro.
After removal of telemetry and searching with cortana on 17763.1, after sfc /scannow in an inconsistent state. How do I delete telemetry and search?
probably didnt like special/regional letters in your directories structure (image path), use something like d:\toolkit. surement une histoire d'accent ou d'espace dans ton chemin, au plus simple tu met le toolkit a la racine de ton disque (genre d:\toolkit)
The new version has been postponed to another 1-2 days due to some bugs with component removal which breaks the Windows Setup and OOBE.
The normally removed telemetry and searching with cortana? Currently, the deletion and the sfc /scannow command violated the integrity of the files. How are things with the new version and does it make sense to wait for the new version at all?
