That's because it doesn't get the spectre/meltdown vulnerability info from MSFT by an update, we tested this before with a clean 8.1 install (showing the same message) and with an updated 8.1
It is vulnerable, but the OS doesn't know it is, so it can't report back (imho), after a certain update it knows and will report about it in the QT (like with the updated 8.1 install), but Vista doesn't get updates anymore, so also no spectre/meltdown info.
While you guys testing anyone can see vmware theme in themes tab in settings or folder theme in C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Themes exit ? I was just testing on vmware and couldn't find themes folder or the theme in installed themes but when windows first startup it choose vmware theme already even if it's not there
if you mean where the theme/logo/wallpaper files are stored after a MRP install, then it is in \windows\system32\oobe\info folder. Enth uses Vmware more than me for testing. But the VMware theme shows in the settings>personalize>theme part, or any other 'forced' theme.
No i mean the theme file and in settings i should see theme named vmware if for example i choose another theme and want to go back to it
Ah got ya now. Sometimes windows forgets a theme if you click on other ones in the box. no idea how to adjust that to show more than the few it does.
I tested it again and it didn't show, i'm testing now MRP 94 if it show i will test the new MRP with my older OEM.7z even if i don't think removing coloration can make this
odd as that the only line removed and all testing shown the theme as normal. The original project didn't have colorizationcolor=xxxxxxx in the .theme file either. You can use the older oem's.7z file it not matter just that the theme on Windows will be set as light blue for most of the elements. I was just avoiding that so that any other theme used ie in-built or downloaded would colorize the OS correctly.
THANK YOU for putting the Network Icon on the Desktop. If you can Add Motherboard Chassis type, I would really appreciate it you could add the TimeZone Eastern Standard Time and Disable Auto Daylight TimeSet false. That would be like putting the "Cheery On Top" with ice cream and whipped cream. I tried putting it in the Autounattended.xml file, but it didn't work. Thank you very much.
Chassis type is in the Query Tool, i was going to add it to MRP code but i decided to leave that out this time or i would not of made the deadline i had set for release. TImezone as mentioned before i won't be adding that into the project. It should be set via the Windows Setup anyway. Plus adding all the various timezone information into the project would be a logistical pain in the rear. When i have time i will look into a registry tweak for the Daylight Saving (on/off), i'm sure i have seen one somewhere... Network icon i had been asked a few times and it can be useful, more so with Windows 10 as it can be ideal for those with network devices to get to it quickly than via other menus etc. Unattended can be a hit and miss affair and with certain elements it can render MRP or anything to be run via the oobe stage useless if not thought out or written properly.
in config creator options, there is a spelling error: Highlight and not Hi-Lite >> Highlighting Newly Installed Apps
I knew there be one somewhere, those gremlins always hide until release then they magically appear! MRP and QT should have all spelling correct...
