I will get mrp 159 to baseline by any means. I was going to add , 'even if it the last thing I do' but I not want to tempt fate just yet!
Next time I will bring a laptop with mrp files on to work on the project , be better than looking at curtains and walls
I will be away from my pc for a while as a lot of things happening. Will get back to working on the project as soon as I can. It's certainly not being abandoned, not while on my watch.
Thanks all I not be down for long, just so much happening all at once. I will bounce back , I always do. Got a good medical care team behind me to help me through this rough patch.
Had some good news today well at least some. My recent full blood test has shown no abnormal c cells as it was very close last time. The test also triggered another biopsy request as the blood could of gave a incorrect result before. So at least myeloma is not present, but the chest/lung side could still be a issue. Feel a big relief and keeping fingers crossed the next chest test is not the big c either and something else which might be bad ie copd etc but treatable and kept under control.
As soon as I get back on pc it will be moved to rc1 if no other issues. I don't think much else to be done for v159. Fixed majority of issues. Sorry it will be just a fixed 158 technically but as things been a lot hectic recently it's the best I can do this time around.
App removal is slow as powershell is used along with error checking. All app removals be it by individual selections or using the 'all' options is processed twice, once before user oobe stage and then just before the desktop appears at the end of mrp/setup. This is to make sure they are removed, usually the 2nd uninstall phase is 'quicker' as it can skip non existant/uninstalled ones unless the first phase didnt fully remove an app. Mainly it is the slow pshell which I can't do much about. Using dism type method can be about the same speed but with limited error checking plus my experience with dism in those phases would probably cause other issues with unreliability of the project. Dism is used for Servers when certain additional components are required for the theme to work or other items to allow smooth operation of the project etc.
The server additional item requirements that use dism code is simple one line per item required so is less prone to mistakes. Using dism with multi component removal I find awkward and so easy to make mistakes. I just stick with the 'safest' method, it not fast but gets the job done , unless ms combine more apps together!
Finally got laptop sorted with most of the MRP files Time to catch up and upload 159-RC1 soon Only have access to the proton beta testing link at this time as i forgot the FTP info for the webspace access I not have the MRPconfig folder for that with me at present but that is basically all sorted anyway and no new options to be added. Will get around to finishing that off too. Its just getting used to a laptop keyboard and that pad thing while i am away from my main pc.
Something interesting ... This old amd HP 255 G4 laptop is on win11 24h2, its not w11 compliant -- but used the work around ... I used the unlock defender option and had to turn off the real time option in defender, that was over an hour ago and it has not turned itself back on, tamper protection is still on too as i forgot to switch that off. But it seems like the MRP unlock defender option under win11 has 'fooled' defender that another av is present and so it is staying 'off'.. I had to turn the real time bit off when i copied the MRP files off the memory stick or defender would of nabbed things as usual. I know i tweaked the unlock defender option a while back but cant remember what bit i changed..
Have uploaded MRP 159-RC1 for beta testers Its only on the Proton beta area link for now until i can setup the FTP side for the webspace link. Mainly the same as BT14 but with a few wording changes along with some extra checks for some files to allow protecting of MRP files later on.
