It is far from quiet behind the scenes. Finalized the MRPConfig.ini file with options. Attempted a GUI config editor, but as my skills in GUI stuff is limited, had to put that on hold unless anyone with AutoIt knowledge of how checkboxes and dropdown menus work can assist. Took 5 hours just to get framework to work! Have wrote a batch script version of an editor instead for now which is in testing stage. That took me all day to get everything added and working. Needs a code tidy up but at the moment it does work. Changed a few command words in the options ini, for example NoLLS is now 'ChangeLockLoginScreens' and LblDrv is now AutoDriveRename which are less cryptic. Also use Yes/No instead of 0/1 for all options that are of that type. Have organized the ini so that all general OS options are at the top and the Windows 8.x/10 only ones are lower down in their own section. MRP will ignore any options for Win8+ if any Windows OS installed that is lower than Win8. It will be ready as mentioned by end of this month. Quite a lot has been added/tweaked etc and as always i make sure, (well try my best), everything done works as intended.

Lines hi-lighted in green are the new parts working. The only test i forgot to say Yes to was the ChangeLockLoginScreens= option (we know it works as that code not been changed from before, only the command from NoLLS to ChangeLockLoginScreens). The reason code now works fully if it needs to be shown. In my test it shows because i was not connected to the internet during installation. Had to do a logout for the People Band to vanish but that is mentioned in the MRPConfig.ini file. It is best to do a logout or reboot cycle after Windows has installed to make sure all options/tweaks and any standard Windows operations to able complete fully. The CustomTheme option is pre-parsed to make sure the brand exists and is spelt correctly if it not then you will see a note that something was wrong and MRP will attempt normal DMI theme processing etc, and if that fails the default Windows theme will be used. A few more tests and it will be ready in the next few days.
The wait is over MRP 71.0 Baseline has been uploaded and first post updated with new password. See changelog for boring details. Spoiler: Quick Summary + New options added as mentioned in a previous post. + CustomTheme (formally ForceTheme) now pre-parses the brand to make sure it exists/spelt correctly or is in the database of brands that MRP covers. If it flags up something is wrong it will disable the option and MRP will attempt the normal DMI processing and use that if found, if none available it will use the default Windows theme. + Project.log has had a small makeover in wording to cover the new options. + License Status Code is now working fully and will only show if something not right is detected about activation etc. ----------------------------------------------------------------The MRPConfig.ini has more information on what each option does. If you set an option that does not apply it will be ignored such as any Windows 8.x/10 ones if you are installing Windows 7. A few other code tweaks done, some you will see in the new log layout. As always the MRPConfig.ini has all options as default OFF, apart from the ChangeLockLoginScreens option which is default Yes to allow MRP to change those screens. If you delete the config file , MRP will use defaults ie all off, {Lock/login screens will be changed}. The Config Editor is on hold for the moment.
Here is what the new log looks like, this is from my RC test earlier, majority of the text is the same, there is a few little changes to some words as i was testing the pre-parsing of CustomTheme. New text in green, some lines have had a little reword since this test was done. Some lines won't show if options are not used or not for the OS installed. If the CustomTheme pre-parse stage detects something is not right you will see either of these lines in the log: CustomTheme option : Disabled - Brand not found in OEM's folder, MRP database or incorrect spelling. CustomTheme option : Disabled - Required OEM Brand data files not found for user defined theme.
Ah think you found the only bug that has sneaked in! To disable the delete confirmation as a temporary measure until i release a fix: Code: reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer" /v "ConfirmFileDelete" /t REG_DWORD /d "0" /f I copied and pasted the Yes line and for some reason i didn't edit it to '0' to tell registry to not show confirmation on file delete. Will pull the project and fix it shortly.
Ok sorted the bug. Plus another one, well only cosmetic one in that the ThisPC/My Computer did not show the setting, used wrong variable for a 'IF DEFINED' check. Uploaded, same password. Thanks @BALTAGY for letting me know. Not a show stopper as such but one that is annoying as it was so easy to overlook!
Regarding the config editor, the GUI version 1.0 is under testing. It may have a few bugs but in general it works. Will perfect it over time. Picture attached of how it looks.
MRP 72.0 is in final testing stage. + Fixed a few options not showing that they have been used/selected in the log. + Re wording on some lines. + Fixed a few duplicate words in the Reason Code text. Config Creator is now at v1.3 + Added a few extra bits of error checking for the 'Drive Label' and 'Computer Model Name' sections. + Added 'Tool Tips' when you hover the mouse pointer over an option or button. + If you enter a valid drive label, the check box for Auto drive naming will not be available unless the label field is blank. ----------------------------------- Spoiler: Notes: Due to some changes Microsoft have made in RS3, (maybe RS4 preview too), the 'Model Name' does not seem to show in settings or on the 'View basic info... screen' , however it is set correctly in the Registry. Windows 7/8.x and upto RS2 Windows 10 the line does show on the 'View basic information about your computer' screen if there is a model name detected/used. Important Note: If you edit the config ini file manually and use invalid characters in the 'Drive Label' or 'Computer Model name' sections MRP may crash, as it is not easy to check for those invalid characters in standard batch script. It is advisable to use the MRPConfigCreator program, plus it assigns the correct wording required, preventing any user entered errors. I know it is only a few days since 71.0 was released but i'm sure a few of the new options added will be of some benefit to some people.
