My opinion comparing Windows VS Linux or Mac ... Windows is the weakest one in security ... so if you gonna use Windows choose a good Antivirus and a good Firewall and the reset come to you "What sites you open, What files you download, What Flash drive you connect to your PC, etc" at the end you wont find the best hacker in the world after you unless your too damn important lol

I personally disable Windows Defender , Windows Firewall ( only leave it open in Windows 10 so users can use Edge if they don't use other Firewall ) , Disable Windows update ( Don't update unless i have a problem ) and if i can disable UAC in Windows 10 without errors come up i will, i know what i'm doing and i'm responsible if something happen but UAC won't help me anyway

Windows is too much poor in security and they are trying to make it better by making users suffer more and more not like Linux

I noticed the exceptions used in kms pico doesnt even work. They are added but ignored. Once I disable defender then user pic stayed on login no matter the reg file we use. I did like you did BALTAGY by changing the user pic reg setting to 0 and compared to 1 with same results but once I disabled defender everything worked. Now for the big question, how do I determine if a user will use kms or not? There are lots of different tools all named differently plus installed in different locations. I can do a later search for activation of mak key funky display and if matched then turn off defender. Seems this feature needs to be added to kms instead of this project if you ask me. This might be too late if users use setupcomplete.cmd because cleanup script runs after login. Too many variables to address within the project. But if I dont ppl will complain also. Damned if I do, damned if I dont. lol hmmm

Add a cmd like WinTel if someone want to project to work and using KMS he can add the file and project will disable it and make everything work fine ?

I really dont want to add more external files for the "if" scenario. What if I disabled it from oobe.cmd then do check for mak funky key display in cleanup.cmd and if no mak used then turn back on defender. Not everyone uses external AV's so I have to keep that in mind. If using kms its almost mandatory. Doing this also keeps our decompile.exe from getting deleted if they ever add it to defender list. I can also add a window to echo kms found and windows defender is disabled. Something to that effect so users know when at desktop that kms is in use and deferder is disabled in order to not kill the activation or I can put it into the log file. Either or...

I got all scripts updated except for what I need to add to the cleanup command file during login. I need to add some checks into it then I will be ready for some beta testing on all supported OS's. Sorry this has taken so long but Win10 really did throw a curve ball. Almost every file included has been edited so it is not the same as in earlier releases. Lots of changes in all area's. When beta testing is done I will add to first post with updated change log giving details. I am done for today. Take care everyone. :)

I think I am done with all the script editing. Going to test to make sure additional code runs correctly before releasing for beta testing. Stand by...

I am testing in win10 anniversary version now. 26% installed...fingers crossed. lol

Dam*, I forgot to add if no kms used to turn back on defender upon login. Oh well, I will add that after I find out how the install goes. Minor detail...

I have 3 computers i can use for testing...

My Dell laptop - I can use that for testing Windows 7 or 10 , That Tosh W10 (Gen W10 home) laptop for Win10 RS1 , my other tower (Digital Ent/Lic) for W10 th2 Pro.

They vary in design/age chipsets, not that will affect things, (hopefully!).

Also a Virtual box VM if required - have got that with dmi and slic setup (thanks to help from the VirtualBox forum) so if i can find a Vista image i can thrash that too lol

Plus a day off work :D

Yeah I tried KMS once on windows 8.1 but only after the install had completed. So all my tests will be via normal OEM/Retail type ways.

Without Windows 10 Anniversary not being activated you cant unlock personalization settings like theme and user pics. This sucks ass! lol

I am going to compile everything and send to you in pm for oem/retail testing. Kinda sucks that I cant test this myself.

M$ is up to no good in regards to kms activations. o_O:death::mad::eek:

Wow no log file present after install. WTF!:eek:
This is really making testing difficult.

I am going to try this again without kms and see results. I know personalization options wont be available but need to check code and this is my only way.

Those who use kms for warez are going to be upset for sure. lol After I get more info I will spread the word around here at mdl in kms section.

Ok, it installed without kms present. Going to check everything then try again using kms but with verysilent command. Think echoing is turned off for setupcomplete.cmd file thus if needing interaction then display sits and spins waiting for interaction that you cannot see. This is my theory anyway. More testing needed.

Your theory is correct, i ran up against this when i added my programs to be installed via setupcomplete, the screen 'locked'.

Once i had used the /Silent switches on the install programs then they installed silently and everything completed.

Wish i could help more with the scripting side but my knowledge is limited on that area :(

Exactly take a break, same when i am writing music, i get in a rut where things not go right , i take a breather then have another go.
