I have to do some testing with this elevate cmd file....x86 doesn't like reading the x64 registry...guess it has two separate programs and we will need both. Sorry, Baltagy but I do not understand about BioStar not showing.....you mean in query tool? If so then I will need to add BIOSTAR Group instead of just BIOSTAR in ini file. Please clarify.
open imgur link on Firefox bro for it has white colors and FF gray background lol It's a matter of contrast
You have to download it in order to see it correctly Mr.X. Yes, that is what I have no idea how to do. lol Sorry but I never got into image editing so I have no idea what it is called but you have the correct image that could be a problem in the future....at least for me. lol
I did this image now while we speaking, anytime you want to edit image let me know i will try to do my best and if i couldn't i will let some of my friends help
Sounds great and thank you Baltagy for contributing. I just checked the rar file I uploaded and it has BIOSTAR folder with all images and files in it. Let me know what happens when you download again from another link. I am going to work on the query tool now so will bbl.
Ok, I cant use the elevate cmd in query tool so going to remove the installed key output from query tool because WinRAR is calling the elevate cmd from silent switch and there is no way of letting WinRAR know which one to use (x86 or x64). I posted a vbs file that does this without issues so going to remove it from script. Like I have said before win8.x is such a pain in so many areas and if it isn't going to work on all OS's then I am going to remove it. To me this isn't important anyway. There are numerous free tools that do this.
You can go ahead and delete link Baltagy and thank you....can I ask if you removed your service tag number? Reason I ask is if no server tag number it should output Un-Listed. Other then that it looks as if the query tool is doing correctly....branding is giga and no activation since no slic present. Since it read Gigabyte from #4, BioStar should do the same since the first name in #4 for BioStar is BioStar Group. Are you saying the oobe failed while installing in VMware? If not modded bios for gigabyte then it will not install either for VMware is still present in the bios thus VMware theme and branding. Also if trying to mod bios in VMware and using uefi then modded bios will fail for it isn't created for uefi VMware bios or should I say VMware doesn't allow both bios and uefi at the same time like in real machines. VMware: Bios = You can use vmware modded bios. UEFI = You can not use VMware modded bios.
It's not a Laptop, i think there's no Service tag number that's why it's Un-Listed and also i used KMS in activation i have win8.1 pro vl when i tried to oem alone didn't activate it that's why i added KMS to make the project work with vl too I was trying to run Query Tool alone in vmware to give a results but id didn't it shows and disappears fast And i don't know how to make modded VMware bios didn't try it before lol
Did you try the test.exe (updated query tool) on previous page? That is the one working for me on x64. Just waiting for conformation on x86...it looks for x86 or x64 and runs correct elevate.exe.
Yes the results from the test.exe, and when i tried to run it in vmware i tried test.exe and OEM Query Tool v4.6 in win7/win8.1 When i tried to run OEM-CD.cmd manually in vmware it's working and i got the results
Not sure I understand but going to setup VMware just like you and see what I get. Since the service tag is empty might have to add variable for that which is no biggie. I will get back with everyone after testing. I am going to install the x86 version so I can find out about that also. Give me till tomorrow to post results from testing. Note: I see another problem which I didn't check skolar editing totally that I just found and that is the variable for blank entry is removed. Lets avoid this in the future by just letting me know what change to make instead of doing it for me. I am not complaining but it does take more of my time. Thanks
No working on x86, elevate x64 always executed (even after i corrected %systtemdrive% to %systemdrive%) however with this command it does, see if it's working on x64 Spoiler Code: ;The comment below contains SFX script commands Path="%Temp%" Setup=cmd /V:ON /C "cd /d "%Temp%"&if exist %windir%\SysWOW64\cmd.exe (set arch=x64) else (set arch=x86)&elevate!arch!.exe -c OEM-CD.cmd&del /F /Q elevate*.exe" Silent=1 Overwrite=1
Tito I would be happy to but I don't see nothing online for the oem info or branding for that matter. If we can get that then sure its just a matter of adding it to both query tool and project.
