This is a little tricky for 64 bit but progress is being made. I make a little change and then to test 40 mins later. Hurry up to wait. lmao!
Update on progress of including theme on all users in 64 bit. I am going to edit the cmd file to add registry value since nothing is specific with this reg entry. Seems to be the more efficient way of handling the issue. As you can see, nothing specific so better for the script to handle it for 64 bit systems. Spoiler This is the only needed reg entry for 64 bit systems...all the other reg entries are ok and work correctly...just not the theme which will now be addressed.
Found another oversight in searchengines reg files...he used %ResourceDir% which isn't defined and windows natively does not recognize it. I will fix this also.
In final testing...if all goes well I will then upload the corrected project. OEM's.7z has been updated with corrected reg files as well (%ResourceDir% issue). So far, so good. Update: All tests have been successful. Now all users will have branding. Tested on win vista-win10 (x86 & x64). I will zip it all together and start uploading soon. Can I call this final? Input anyone?
For me yes it's final until any new ideas, and also if you used beta and final will be much better ( My personal opinion ), but i don't think it will be next beta you finished most of bugs now lol
First post updated. Change log: Spoiler Change log 02-07-2015: -Enabled branding for all users (64 bit conflict resolved). -Corrected undefined ResourceDir in reg files.
To use this Project correctly do I need the VL or Retail edition of Core and Pro? I am not looking to use Enterprise edition.
Obviously you are talking about windows 8.x so you need MSDM table in bios (oem-dm key) in order to auto. activate windows 8.x. If no MSDM table then no activation and you will need to use kms activation which can be added using a setupcomplete.cmd or run kms activation from desktop after installation. Run the Query Tool v5.8 first to make sure your machine meets the requirements for activation and branding.
Silent update to project and query tool. Change log: Spoiler Change log 02-08-2015 (Silent Update): -Updated Query Tool to version 5.9 Build 2 which now outputs on Results.txt file. -Removed Thumbs.db files and added CR (Conflict Resolution) Enabled to Query Tool v5.8. -I consider this final for now until win 10 is released as rtm. For those that would rather remove the Thumb.db files themselves...adjust path as needed. Alphawaves gave me the new refined imageres.exe but since no major change I will wait to add it till later on. It works with no problems, he just refined the code.
Or he can open OEM's folder and search for Thumbs and mark them all and delete lol btw what is Conflict Resolution?
Remember the oem conflicts we had before implemented fix...this will let me know if id-8 is last choice or if assigned by CR fix. Helps me for troubleshooting is all.
