using multi-os install media… during install, i want system to pause install, show list of os choices, and let me choose the one i want… win 10… using the 'business' group of the win 10 download so i can get to enterprise, but no matter what i do, it installs win10 pro… and, it installs really fast, too!!… but not what i want… there is way to make the system show the list of choices… but i do not even remember what the trick was… !!THANKS!! for any and all help in advance, i look forward to hearing from you, and have a great day/week/end!!!…
Please use the original installation image to install You can enter "PE" or use the installation tool and choose a new installation instead of loading/unzipping to the local hard disk and setting up directly.
You probably need a modified ei.cfg as mentioned here: windows-10-ei-cfg-support-for-multiple-editions.63296/#post-1104826 Add "EI.CFG" file to the (...) already extracted iso (to \sources folder, ei.cfg is missing) The ei.cfg file should contain the following: For Retail: Code: [EditionID] [Channel] Retail [VL] 0 For Volume (KMS) version: windows-10-ei-cfg-support-for-multiple-editions.63296/page-2#post-1105660 Code: [channel] Volume [VL] 1 PS: « It seems that Enterprise simply does not have _default (Retail) licensing information in Windows 10. » My two cents.
thanks, ya'll… i am going to try to reinstall, again, and this time, make myself sit down and watch every step… this is a ms surface go 2, got it from stacksocial, $199… it came as win 10 lite, but i went in and turned on the 'onboard upgrade', and it became win 10 pro… and it was brand new when i got it… i know it says 'refurb', but this one WAS brand new… and trying this install to bump up to enterprise… but this install flies so fast, if you blink, it's done… i know i could just get a copy of enterprise from mdl, but i am going to try to work this through, first… thanks for the help…
There is also this alternative: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1877426 Code: [Channel] _Default [VL] 0 My two cents.
? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/posts/1877426 This ei.cfg is working for all windows builds since 8.1 or 10 10240 (only 2016 ltsb needed some modifying to be N compatible (iirc).
