Net FrameWork 4.8 refuses to get installed in old Win10 version

    What boggles my mind is why you want to keep using a 6-year old version/build of Windows 10 which is no longer supported by Microsoft.
    That is much more of a problem than not having .NET Framework 4.8.

    Being poor, or workplace being too cheap to change POS devices etc.
    I've seen plenty of such machines that can't run anything above 1507, or 1511 or 1607 in a stable manner with all drivers working.
    What makes matters worse, is that can't run 7 or 8 any better either.
    Drivers are a bitch, and manufacturers have abandoned millions of such devices after just 1-2 years lifespan once microsoft raised the development costs with Anniversary Update and above - WaaS MyAss.

    Microsoft is run by politicians and marketing monkeys, it seems. They can't admit the disadvantages of WaaS and they instead concentrate on bling-bling.
