About Simplix and pre-serviced source wim: https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...win7-distribution.45005/page-116#post-1503430
thanks Enthousiast, I saw that, but I mean different... using the Simplix Pack on "old" W7 SP1 clean ISO is the same (maybe better) then get the refreshed W7 ISO, right?
Oh boy, please do us a favor and use default font, that one is nigh unreadable (and not even cool though) .
LiteOS seems to not yet know the links to the updated 32bit/x86 Win7 SP1 Pro as well as 32bit Win7 SP1 HP (home premium)
you're probably right that I should make my own Win7 ISO since these new ISOs don't include KB3125574 [I'll use W7UI script instead of simplix since I want to integrate specific Win7 updates and not the ones that simplix recommends] . plus the 64bit ones will only fit on a dual-layered DVD disc since they're 5.5Gb
Not a real big problem, enter the world of USB install media It's not what he recommends, it's to realize a telemetry free install, but not going into those OCD's
Do you recommend any script that makes windows update happy? For example, with w7ui I have 15 important and 18 optional updates. I'm trying to reduce the amount of work needed after deploying the image and looks like these iso's are useless
believe it or not, I do have the option to Uninstall most of these updates like KB2952664 (in the "Installed Updates" control panel) when I used the 32bit ultimate win7 sp1 iso that LiteOS mentioned. and I noticed these ISOs had "escrow" in the name - so I assumed they are "escrow" builds (and they seemed to be standalone/individual edition ISOs that don't bundle any other editions, definitely not aios) also did anyone used any of those "leaked" x64 win7 isos on any Intel Kaby Lake [7th gen] or Coffee Lake [8th gen] (or even AMD Ryzen) machine?
I also noticed that Internet Explorer 11 and .NET Framework 4.7.2 are also integrated onto those ISOs and also have uninstall options for IE11 and .NET 4.7.2. I tend to agree with Enthousiast of these new W7 ISOs being "crap" since M$ really added those crappy telemetry patches oh well, curiosity pretty much harmed or killed the cat so to speak when using those W7 ISOs in other words, use at your own risk
The iso's are not good for use, they are ran thru audit mode a few times, exhausting the re-arm options (i know they can be reset), to name one con.
