Anyone has a mirror? His R2-link gives me: "Felkod: ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE" and the Basic link is very very slow.
Link is working here for alpha 2 release. If that link isn't working use his homepage and navigate to his downloads.
More then likely its the autoit scripting or the rar file itself that is causing it. Either way it is a false positive and is safe.
Yup thats right, Avast even flagged Spotify now.... Its also flagging REx86 (?) as a virus and I've to disable my AV.. Im just about done with a windows-installation in a virtual machine. Thought Id have a generic version, is that still possible?
Hi everyone! I know I am not really active in the forum in tahs past month. Way to much stuff to do (must complete my bachellor degree ASAP or I will loose my job in part of the stuff). Anyway... just want to let you know that I am working on WIMBoot support for Windows 8.1 Update. There is some limitation for WIMBoot 1 - EFI required 2 - GPT required 3 - SSD required 4- Windows 8.1 Update 1 required both for the OS and WINRE. So updating through Windows Update is not enough to add WIMBOOT support. Need latest Windows 8.1 Update ISO Also, WIMBoot can't be used with CURTOM recovery image (RECIMG) so you can't create "up to date" image later. Since WIMBoot is made for small tablet computer which doesn't come with DVD drive, support for making DVD recovery image won't be added to WIMBoot version of the script. I will let you know on the developpement!
Hi everyone, I know I am not on the forum a lot and I would like to thanks everyone that offer support for my tools for those who needs help. It is really appreciated. It remove a lot of pressure on my shoulders knowing that I don’t need to be there every day. I would like to let you know that ALPHA 3 is now available on my web site. This version adds support for “WIM BOOT” technology from Microsoft that was integrated into Windows 8.1 Update. On a regular setup, you have the WIM file of the image on the recovery partition and a full Windows installed on the main partition. When you need to restore, the Windows partition is formatted and the WIM file is uncompressed onto it. Supposing a 50% compression ratio, a Windows installation of 30 GB give a 15 GB restore image for a total of 45 GB. With WIM Boot, the computer boot from the compressed image. Only the new files are actually written on disk. So, supposing a 50% compression ratio, à 30 GB Windows installation use, in fact, only 15 GB on the disk. So you save nearly 30 GB of space. To works, you need the following Windows 8.1 Update (not RTM) EFI firmware. Legacy BIOS is not supported SSD or eMMC storage. Mechanical HDD are not supported There is some limitation when using WIM BOOT. The option to create a custom “refresh” image is not available Uninstalling a software which is included in the WIM file will not give you any more space Since WIM BOOT is mostly used on device with small SSD/eMMC (tablet, etc.) I decided to drop the support for DVD recovery media since most device don’t have them. Also, without the support for curtom “refresh” image, I decided to completely remove the custom recovery tools menu from Windows. To restore your computer, you must use the built-in tools from Microsoft. You can still create USB recovery device. I was not able to test it. Thanks for your patience and you support. AnarethoS
Haven't had the need for wimboot but it's good to know you've got it covered (just in case)! Thanks for your efforts m8!
Always nice to have options. Thanks again for all your hard work. Love this project and use it on my machines all the time...I dropped other methods for this is the best for my needs.
