Hi, I have tried to download office online. And it gives me linked to the ms office download site, yet it gives bad request error.
@zucrin If you can please make it check for and only run as admin. If not admin the rapidly flashing screen, (console window rapidly opening and closing) is terrible.
Yes, I believe OfficeRTool can install Office apps from an extracted office image. Navigate to the installation folder before running set up.
You should always run as administrator right. If OfficeRTool closes quickly follow these troubleshooting guides. https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...office-c2r-download-install-activation.62571/ STARTUP: OfficeRTool SHOWS BLANK WINDOW or CLOSES shortly AFTER UAC PROMPT Reason(s): - your Antivirus- or other Security-programm is blocking access, or - you are running OfficeRTool from root \ , or - you have Brackets "[ ]( ){ }", "&" or any other special characters in folder- and/or user-name, or - you have a Special Setup / Policy Rules active, or - you have a corrupted %PATH% statement in your system variables configuration.
AV ~ Solved ROOT ~ don't know what talking about Special chars ~ add check Special setup ~ don't know what its this corrupted path ~ how do I check ? Also And add 2 Admin elevate function for fail safe
It's mostly irrelevant, it was just a query as I'm used to using YAOCTRI. What does Navigate to the installation folder before running set up mean? I don't want to use setup, I mean via Rtool and if possible a custom install. I set the path after choosing option [ I ] (see code box below). However I'd appreciate you explaining how to do it with RTool? I've tried all ways, and I think I'm right in saying that RTool is for downloading/installing Office only - not installing from ISO. No problem. Tried pointing the script at my extracted ISO folder and each of its sub-folders. Code: [I] INSTALL OFFICE SUITES OR SINGLE APPS / CREATE ISO FILE Path: "C:\Users\Current User\Downloads\Office-Stuff\ExtractedOffice365BusinessRetail" # Package 1 16.0.14326.20454 The system cannot find the file package.info. Download incomplete - Package unusable - Redo download Path: "C:\Users\Current User\Downloads\Office-Stuff\ExtractedOffice365BusinessRetail\Office" Returns to: Press any key to continue . . . Set Office Package Download Path > Path: "C:\Users\Current User\Downloads\Office-Stuff\ExtractedOffice365BusinessRetail\Office\Data" Returns to: Press any key to continue . . . Set Office Package Download Path > Path: "C:\Users\Current User\Downloads\Office-Stuff\ExtractedOffice365BusinessRetail\Office\Data\16.0.14326.20454" Returns to: Press any key to continue . . . Set Office Package Download Path > Not a chance, I could barely look at the rapidly flashing screen, potentially dangerous (photosensitivity and seizures). Only way out was to shut down the VM. So much so that I removed the flashing image from this post, however @zucrin has fixed it now, he saw the rapidly opening/closing console window in a loop. Now the script will only run as admin.
What's a corrupted path? Path to my extracted ISO and its sub-folders are all correct, see my post above in code box. As said though it's irrelevant, I don't think RTool is for the purpose of installing from an already downloaded ISO.
Latest Changes Code: ~ Fix banner showing problems ~ Create ISO have it own menu ~ Change Menu items Names
New v6 mate, used a pre-downloaded Office 365 Business Retail (will convert licensing and activate after install). New wording is better "[ I ] INSTALL OFFICE FROM OFFLINE INSTALL PACKAGE" but remember it will only work if it finds a package.info in the source folder. Made one for this test: Code: Current 16.0.14326.20454 en-GB x64 492350f6-3a01-4f97-b9c0-c7c6ddf67d60 Worked fine, customized the install: Code: Source Channel: "Current" - 16.0.14326.20454 -Setup- The following programs are selected for install: Microsoft 365 Apps for Business --> Enabled: Word --> Enabled: Excel --> Enabled: PowerPoint --> Disabled: Access --> Disabled: Outlook --> Enabled: Publisher --> Disabled: OneNote --> Disabled: Teams / Skype For Business --> Disabled: OneDrive For Business --> Disabled: Bing Search Background Service Visio 2019 Professional Volume Project 2019 Professional Volume Language: en-GB (fixed - matches Office download package) Architecture: x64 (fixed - matches Office download package) ____________________________________________________________________________ (ENTER) to Install, (C)reate install Package, (R)estart installation, (E)xit to main menu ? > Installed - Convert Licensing to VL: Code: [C] CONVERT RETAIL LICENSE TO VOLUME LICENSE Found 15 licenses, removed 15 licenses. have plan in future to remove this file, I don't think it necessary at all Maybe next version will do that I did removed lot of things, like - Check for all channels version - Save to INI file message Edit Working on on fly set folder information Instead read from file --- if not exist
You mean package.info mate? Anyway v7 offline install test. Pre downloaded ProPlus ISO. Added a package.info to the source folder: Code: MonthlyEnterprise 16.0.14326.20454 en-GB x64 55336b82-a18d-4dd6-b5f6-9e5095c314a6 Set path: Code: "C:\Users\Current User\Downloads\Office-Stuff\ExtractedProPlusISO" Customized the install: Code: Enter 1..9,0 or x to exit >6 Full Suite Install Exclusion List - Disable not needed Office Programs Disable Word Install (1/0) >0 Disable Excel Install (1/0) >0 Disable Powerpoint Install (1/0) >0 Disable Access Install (1/0) >1 Disable Outlook Install (1/0) >1 Disable Publisher Install (1/0) >0 Disable OneNote Install (1/0) >1 Disable Teams and Skype for Business Install (1/0) >1 Disable OneDrive For Business Install (1/0) >1 Disable Bing Search Background Service Install (1/0) >1 Set Visio 2021 Install (1/0) >0 Set Project 2021 Install (1/0) >0 ____________________________________________________________________________ Source Channel: "MonthlyEnterprise" - 16.0.14326.20454 -Setup- The following programs are selected for install: Office 2021 ProfessionalPlus Volume --> Enabled: Word --> Enabled: Excel --> Enabled: PowerPoint --> Disabled: Access --> Disabled: Outlook --> Enabled: Publisher --> Disabled: OneNote --> Disabled: Teams / Skype For Business --> Disabled: OneDrive For Business --> Disabled: Bing Search Background Service Language: en-GB (fixed - matches Office download package) Architecture: x64 (fixed - matches Office download package) ____________________________________________________________________________ (ENTER) to Install, (C)reate install Package, (R)estart installation, (E)xit to main menu ? > Installed fine, didn't bother with KMS activation, KMS_VL_ALL auto renewal is already installed, this install is activated. Update: Irrelevant as it's not related to RTool but this is the first time I've not been able to get Visual Refresh in LTSC, but as said elsewhere it's not for LTSC and we were sort of forcing it - so no problem.
Thanks for continuing the development of this tool. The recent changes (v6+) do not make any sense to me. - why did the check for new versions get removed? - why one has to enter the download path all the time, instead of reading it from the ini like before? - why not using the ini by default? Bug (or maybe misusage by me): 1. Changed inside OfficeRTool.cmd: 2. Set download path in [ D ] to H:\Office2021 and downloaded latest package 3. Using [ P ], [ S ] or [ I ] always wants me to enter downloads path (why?) 4. Entering H:\Office2021 does not get accepted. 5. Entering H:\Office2021\en-US_Office_Current_x64_v16.0.14527.20276 does, but this is not how things worked before.
sometimes people don't like changes, I accept that. from my perspective, it work much better ! the new things I changed ! It worked from Any Office Folder Now, Auto create PACKAGE.INFO File Now you can MAKE ISO FILE, More LANGUAGE, Auto Rec System LANG / ARCH menu less annoying, ENTER ENTER ENTER ENTER ENTER DONE why not using the INI by default Read, YES, Auto save, Auto ask for save, NO. its annoying, can change it via Set ... in head of scripts Ask for download path. its better this way. Update every version no need only if need to know version, and for some function, 2 function only. but else -- why ???? script use Office folder, it should be like that, read from folder when you download Offline package, any other way its wrong
I'm not english native Like the post # 57 I have the same "complaints" for the added changes v6 and up latest version Loosing the version check kinda make this software useless for me ... Can't do an iso creation banging my head for the paths ...... still doesn't want to work ? Is there an command or powershell script to do that, cant find it, in your CMD file coding ??
