It looks like it's the "ó" character that causes this issue. How can a single character cause it? Weird. Anyway, I need OfficeRTool inside this folder. Also, I still don't get why you use the release date as the OfficeRTool version and after opening the latter it has a real version (which should be the one used in both cases).
I like the date thing. ignore version number info - just to enable version history/updates via GitHub Talking about special chars, in P/S it even worse - [ ] --> can break P/S command
I came across an issue when trying to install "Office Professional Plus 2019 Volume" while using the "Current" channel. I'm getting the error... Code: This product can't be installed on the selected update channel. Please contact your system administrator and try again. I was able to workaround the issue by manually changing "ProPlus2019Volume" to "ProPlus2019Retail" in the "configure32.xml" file. Then Office 2019 installed fine and I was able to convert to volume and activate. This only happens with Office 2019, I'm not having this issue with Office 2021 (Current) channel "ProPlus2021Volume". I took a look at the script code and I see on line "3631" you have "type=Volume" with no other option for "Retail"... Code: if "%installtrigger%" EQU "2" ((set "type=Volume")&&(set "of19install=1")&&(goto:InstallExclusions)) So as far as I can tell, there is no way to install "Office Professional Plus 2019 Volume" while using the "Current" channel. with this script. I guess the fix would be to add a second option to allow the user to select "Office Professional Plus 2019 Retail" which would then set "ProPlus2019Retail" in the XML configuration file?
not recommended you you want 2019 Volume [LTSC] - choice 2019 [LTSC] channel This message is right. you trying bypass the system. Code: This product can't be installed on the selected update channel. Please contact your system administrator and try again.
I'm not saying you should bypass it, all I'm doing is bringing this issue to your attention. Right now Office(R)Tool is generating Volume License configuration files with "Current" channel instead of the correct "PerpetualVL2019" or "PerpetualVL2021". Example for Office 2021 * The user will be able to install using this configuration, however, they will be using the "Current" channel instead of "PerpetualVL2021". Download Package Current (Retail/RTM) v16.0.15330.20230 32-bit English Install Package Install office from offline install package-image Select option "3.) Office Professional Plus 2021 Volume" This creates an invalid configuration... Product ID="ProPlus2021Volume" channel="Current" Example for Office 2019 * The user will NOT be able to install using this configuration, because ODT rejects the configuration channel "Current" instead of "PerpetualVL2019". Download Package Current (Retail/RTM) v16.0.15330.20230 32-bit English Install Package Install office from offline install package-image Select option "2.) Office Professional Plus 2019 Volume" This creates an invalid configuration... Product ID="ProPlus2019Volume" channel="Current"
I Renamed this boring title to Office(R)Tool: The Next Generation like (Star Trek: The Next Generation)
As shown on page 1 - "# Modify existing package Repeat the same installation as before, excluding any Un-Wanted apps. after the installation end, those apps will go." ---------------------- Can I please ask for some guidance. I accidentally installed Access, Visio, Project and Skype. I then re-install 365 again but now "without' these packages but they are still installed. What am I doing wrong?
Will update RTool today Will add backup method - To get release version Just in case of Something like this? https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...us-official-thread.82730/page-16#post-1745264
