@Joe C, MrMagic: Best of luck with the dogs. When I was a teenager, I had one of these. https://www.niabizoo.com/animals-habitats-details/mexican-red-legged-tarantula/ Her name was Morticia, and she was quite friendly. She would walk up your arm, across your head, and down the other arm. She'd patiently wait till you put your hands together, and she'd do the circuit again. When we moved, I donated her to a pet shop in the hopes that they'd find her a new owner.
LOL... I would be concerned if I did not have a poopy puppy. Saylor has not had any "accidents" for a couple weeks now, which is good for a newfie. (we can start relaxing about where she wanders around the house now) She likes to sleep on the ceramic tiles in the bathroom.... and eat the toilet paper roll if she gets a chance.
Cats make nice pets too, but they're not like any other kind of pet. Cats are nice enough to let you live in your home
Cats dogs fur and poop won't let me live in my home. No pets in mine. Hate bad odors and eating hair.
@Mr.X I guess you gotta love critters first. Get yourself a tiny Yorkie that is older and already house broke. Yorkie's do not shed and make for nice pat's for folks like yourself. (yes... of course they will poop...but so do you)
Exactly that's why I've never ever had a dog or any other pet around my home. I mean now that I am old. I don't want to abandon those poor animals to their fate. And I condemn people who do the same, there's a lot of mofos down here in Mexico who behave like that, grrrr.
They do like their dogs south of the border... https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2017/11/hairless-dog-mexico-xolo-xoloitzcuintli-Aztec/
I have around 12 lizards in the back yard, doing their job eating bugs & spiders, I call them the children. Sometimes they sneak inside the house for some indoor munchies (spiders) but usually end up in the dining room & are easily removed again to the back yard. attached is a photo of a large one trying to sneak inside, he tried (for 3 hours) hiding in both corners & middle of the front door then finally left or was successful? Edit: Thank you everyone for the 'Likes' Yesterday I spotted a 1 inch baby in the back yard (BY), overall I have marked 8 lizard nests in the BY, they must be starting to hatch now. The little guys start out eating ants & progress to bigger bugs, sadly the will also eat the lady bugs too.
I had two dogs, both black lab mixes, but they both recently passed. Now I'm pet-free for the moment, but it's nice to see these wonderful ones!
Another update on Saylor: She was 6.5 months old @ 78 lbs. when this video was taken by my Mrs and one of the grand kids. We were taking down an Intex 15'x4' pool when Saylor jumped in. There is approx 2' of water in it as it was draining for the season.
this was my beloved "mimidindin" cat that unfortunately disappeared at the time of my move about two months ago every day i think about it because when i got the animal it fit in my hand, it even had birth registration and wallet vet vaccination i confess loved the pussy very much ...
