I hope someone can help. I created a windows service to start speedfan when Windows starts and it works fine except there is no tray icon after it starts. Does anyone know how to get the tray icon to show when it starts. I did go to the obvious place in taskbar settings. That didn't work. Thx for any help BTW I'n using Windows 10 Pro Fall Creator's Update english 64 bit. I know I can start it as a task with icon showing but it takes forever to start but starts instantly as a service.

It might be helpful if you tell what your solution was.

The way to customize the Tray (notification) Icons in Windows 10 has been changed quite a lot, still, it's possible to do it!

Open Settings and go to Personalization, scroll down to the Notification area, and check out both:
    • Select which icons appear on the taskbar
    • Turn system icons on or off
Only apps which are in Startup will be shown at the first option. Just select and set to On which you like to have. That also applies to the system icons of Option 2!
