I was thinking you meant that, but didn't want to dwell on it. I don't think I'll do that, though. Seems like too drastic a measure.
When will ppl learn to set up their system nice and how they want it - then disk image it. In case of disaster and unrepairable errors, boot from USB stick and restore drive from the image to pristine setup in a few minutes. Keep all data off the boot drive.
Just seems silly to format the entire PC just to get one program to work, a program I won't be needing once I'm done my project. I don't know anything about all this technical stuff, I just try my best to follow the instructions listed on this site, that's all.
I don't know if it's mentioned here but when I had problems a while ago I used a tool called Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant and it solved my issues with Office 2019, I also used it for uninstalling/scrubbing before my installation of Office 2021.
