HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform\Plugins\Objects" deleting this Objects and its sub elements you can use windows 8 unlimited time but without activation ! no watermark either.....
Without entering a key and validating, there is no way Microsoft will allow this to continue (if it really works) after an upcoming update...
This sounds FAR too easy to be true. Can any of the MDL experts comment on this, please? This guy could easily be a troll
You will have a Long wait will never work. All those so called registry methods were tried within a few day of rtm being leaked.
I can't believe it..... People are waiting for somebody who tries that method while posting that would be TOO easy. Try it by yourself instead of waiting...or even better buy a license.
i had to test this anyways, it's working for me mine windows was activated so i uninstalled my product key, watermark came on i edited the reg key and did a reboot, no watermark no activation overlay and still be able change my personal settings
I just tried this registry hack, and it does work. All it says now in Windows Activation (Control Panel/System) is Product ID: Not Available. The reminder to activate on desktop is gone and the only Watermark that remains in the lower right corner of the desktop is Windows 8 Enterprise Build 9200. ...I don't know if it will all die later, but for now everything is working as it should, with no problems! I'm using Windows_8_Enterprise_x64_917522 -(MSDN version) ...also my updates work just fine.
Not working in Pro edition with WMC its the worst version for activation. Will download and install entreprise version
It seem to work, but I cannot change my account picture, it say that i need to activate the windows before i can personalize my PC. Good finding.
Does it work for Pro version too? if it's, then this will be the best method than doing other hacks...
It may be a good idea to specify which version of Enterprise Edition. For example, this trick does not appear to work for already activated 90days trial of Enterprise Edition. After deleting the object folder, and rebooting, the watermark still remains and shows the number of days remainng. I am not complaining though, since I am okay with the 90days trial. I am sure we will figure something out after 90days of "exploring the internals of windows 8"
As i say tested in may win8 Pro with WMC but without succes. watermark still here and slui say that win is not activated
