I really do not understand the whole telemetry.Manually install the LCU using WIN10UI will also revert or active back the telemetry.Did you test it out on newest LCU ? On the other matter, I am not able to find any tools to rebuild the install.wim.Which tools you use include back the install.wim ?
Did you? I have updated my LTSC and I wouldn't have adviced it if I knew it didn't work Why not use online methods to disable Telemetry until you have a working knowledge about offline servicing
Which Online methods to disable Telemetry? I had done creating the ISO but when I boot the ISO , it does not have an option to choose LTSC IoT ? The telemetry script remove this option ? I search and found this post https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...emetry-repository.63874/page-105#post-1818355 which you need to convert LTSC to IoT with DISM ? During Idle , the windows process mscorsvw.exe .NET Framework does spike ones a while.Do you happen encounter it after updating the LSU and Net Framework ? I try and run sfc /scannow and it pick up some corrupted file , verify and repair. Will it revert the telemetry ? How do I verify the remove/disable telemetry is not replace or reactive ? any script to confirm ?
To convert LTSC to IoT you just need to change the product key There are some Windows processes that will only run when your OS is idle so that is normal Telemetry will not be reverted. I checked by manually going through the script and double checking the Registry, Services, Task Scheduler and Apps. If you have to know you can do the same
hi freddie-o i tried your disabletelemetry (Windows 11 Enterprise / Education 22621) with leaked 26100 and 25941 but no success at the end of install it starts again searching updates endlessly. Are you planing to update dt for w11ltsc24?
I haven't had time to test yet and install. Anyway it's stilI Preview. I wonder why when all Windows update Services were removed
I use the same method to convert but at your previous posted you are using DSIM to convert. The .Net process does not run in high cpu usage when update is install , only disable telemetry script apply on will get the spike. Maybe you can try a fresh install on LTSC with the script and set on your VMware to 1 core and monitor the cpu usage for 10-30 minutes.Maybe I am using an old cpu , the cpu usage noticeable from 50 then 80%. If you had double check , then I wouldn't concern anymore to update to latest LCU.
I don't understand I wouldn't concern myself too much with these high CPU usage if they're just occassional spikes. You should actually have less CPU usage because the disable_telemetry script disables/removes a lot of background processes

I suppose it on this post https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...emetry-repository.63874/page-105#post-1818355 converting to IoT. What is the reason of spike with telemetry script ? I try to clean install with untouch LTSC and updated without spike. It's very hard to notice if you have a powerful Processor. You have to set it to limit the OS Guest to 1 CPU on VMware to monitor the spike.
Hi and many thanks for the thread. 1- Would it be possible to update the thread OP with Freddie-o 's main post ? 2- is BAU's script in the OP still relevant? 3- I would like to disable telemetry for a fresh ltsc install (from standard iso + kms_vl_all) but i would like to keep windows update & windows defender if possible. I'm a bit lost about the relationship between disabling telemetry and doing it offline with some install.wim file update as mentioned in Freedie-o instructions. Would it be fine to just do like https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...prise-n-ltsc-2021.84509/page-197#post-1831139 after the install? Thanks.
Best to research first about Telemetry Then use a method that suits your needs and you can implement If you want to keep Windows Update & Defender and are not familiar with disabling Telemetry Offline then my script is not what you need
