It's not necessary redownloaded, 1809 and later caches LCU in this path and use it accordingly

What last version? Online you have to do the reg modification and next install the latest CU, or wait for the next one.

 

i make a clean installation and then i go in the audit mode.
create the Registry or make a setupcomplete.cmd to add this entry.
but after Sysprep, i see there are not work

 

Try to do it offline* or by OOBE.cmd, it works when done offline or ran by MRP during install.

Reserved storage area not created in my hdd.

 

Probably my question has been answered but I'll ask anyways... if I add the reg tweak in a 1803 Windows prior to upgrade to 1903, will it work and not reserve that space? I use an 7200 RPM HDD but well... it is worth asking XD

 

Yes if you set ShippedWithReserves to 0 when you update to 1903 it will be disabled.

 

He wants to add the non existing regkey to 1803, and next upgrade to 1903, not sure if the in 1803 added regkey will work, can test though

 

Didn't MS say that upgraded machines so far don't have it enabled, anyway?

 

In most 1903 sku's it's pre-enabled by registry, so the upgrade should have it, the key doesn't exist on builds < 1903.

 

Both my 19H1 and 20H1 IP test VMs have it disabled, and I didn't do it. They are always upgraded, no clean installs for ages.

May be that tweak only works for upgrading, not for clean installing, tks you

 

It worked on both scenarios, pre install modified registry or after install and update to a new cu.

 

This tweak:
