failed none have the digital signatures now not sure what happened Code 52 it was working for a little bit though
The nVidia site refers to their reference design. It is possible that modified OEM models (like ASUS ROG STRIX etc.) are only added later (because of availability and quality checks).
I want to mention that the same issues also exist with the Windows 10 drivers. I checked the nv_dispig.inf file in the 528.49 driver package (released on 8 February 2023, about 1.5 months after 474.11) and found likewise there was no card containing the 24C7 string. I now understand why the 528.49 driver did not work with my RTX 3060 on Windows 10 1809 LTSC since its hardware ID is missing from the INF file. The corresponding INF file in the 551.86 driver package, on the other hand, contains an additional line with the 24C7 string from my post above. I uninstalled the 528.49 driver from Windows 10 1809 LTSC and installed the 551.86 driver, and now the 3060 is working fine under Windows 10 1809 LTSC. The Galax 3060 card which I only got a few days ago was apparently of a newer hardware revision (it used the GA104 chip rather than the original GA106) released after the release of the 474.11 and 528.49 drivers, and support for it was apparently only added later. The lesson for me from this is that even though the 3060 / 3060 Ti were supposedly first released back in 2020-2021, over the years there has been hardware revisions for them (using the GA104 instead of GA106 for the RTX 3060 and the GA103 instead of the GA104 for the 3060 Ti as listed on Wikipedia for example) that require newer versions of the Nvidia drivers to work. A lesson I need to remember in the future.
I have also tested the above procedure with Windows 8.1 x64 on my main computer and I am happy to report that the same procedure works also for Windows 8.1 with my RTX 3060 Ti. After I installed the drivers in Test Mode, changed back to normal mode and restarted Windows 8.1, the graphics drivers seemed to work without issues in normal mode. On my second computer with a RTX 3060 with Windows 7 x64 and Windows Server 2008 R2, just replacing the nvlddmkm.sy_ file with the modded file provided by canonkong in post #1 allowed me to install the 475.14 driver in Windows 7 x64 / Windows 2008 R2 without needing to switch Windows into Test Mode. And after installing the drivers and restarting the computer the graphics drivers seemed to work without issues in normal mode. Great work, and many thanks again canonkong !
Hi canonkong, Is it possible to also to add the SHA256 signature to the driver files for the mobile cards as well? I am thinking for this one (475.14): 475.14-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international.exe I do know that the nvlddmkm.sy_ that you modified for the desktop installers doesn't work on the notebook versions, but that does make sense that it wouldn't.
Nvidia modded are still working because quadro based with security fix Not security fix for quadro on desktop ...
