It's the April 2018 version, which I believe is just slightly after 391.35 (which is a notebook version - I'm on a finicky Dell tower). The version I initially installed was from late 2017, in the 388.xx series, because the later versions would not install on my Optiplex 7050.
Wow, screwing around with my Windows 7 partition today and noticed I had not driver for my RTX3070. Only use this time to time for games that do not work well in 11. This hack got me a later driver and worked perfect.
Hello, and thank both you and the original poster canonkong, i have a 1660Ti turing card and i want install it on LTSB 1607 too, so i follow your procedure, download the 472.12 non-dhc drivers package (472.12-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-whql.exe), extract the content, replace the nvlddmkm.sy_ in the display folder with the one canonkong provided, but i'm lost in the part where i need to change the nv_dispi.inf? What i need to do there? Can you please be more specific? My hardware id card is: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2182&SUBSYS_218210DE&REV_A1 Also what is the testing mode? Thank you if you can give me more info. edit: In the inf file, my ID %NVIDIA_DEV.2182% = Section152, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_2182 is located under two builds: [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...16299] and [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...17134] by logic i need to copy paste to [NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...14310] too?
The 2182 line is by default missing from the 14310 section in the nv_dispi.inf file in the 472.12 driver. Since your card has the hardware ID 2182, you should copy that 2182 line from the 16299 or 17134 section to the 14310 section. I see that you have already done that and your 1660 Ti is working properly under Windows 10 1607 LTSB. Congratulations. Did you turn off the Test Mode after successfully installing the driver in Windows 10 1607?
Sorry for the late reply, the notification was in my spam folder, yes, i used the test mode on, install then off, otherwise i can't install them, of course the driver after installation is not signed but is not an issue, working perfectly. Btw, i want to buy a used 3060 card for my win 7 backup pc, i need to install the SHA-2 upgrade or i can avoid this and just replace the nvlddmkm.sy_ with the modded one in the first page? If possibile i prefer to avoid it and use the default SHA-1 signature. Thank you Jamkes and all the people working on this mod.
Having the SHA-2 Updates would be recommended. But if you want to do some experimenting, someone had released modded SHA-1 Nvidia Drivers : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...mod-request-for-windows-7.85285/#post-1836098 They have some shortcomings however : https://forums.mydigitallife.net/th...mod-request-for-windows-7.85285/#post-1837350
Thank you for the links, this what i was looking for, sha-1 mod, do not want to install sha-2 update, tried some times ago but make my win 7 more heavy.
Can you tell us why do you hate the SHA-2 Update so much, and why do you want to install a older GPU to avoid the SHA-2 Update?!....
