Restore Windows Update for Windows XP / Server 2003

Can someone explain me how to get Windows Update working again in Windows Server 2003 x86 version? It works in the x64 version. Thank you.

This have I check in Server 2003 32 Bit. No function. When Iam try it in the 64 Bit Version of Server 2003, it works fine. But NOT in Server 2003 32 Bits. What make I wrong?

 

may I have ISO name, want to try on my VM.
Where it fail. what stage.

 

Restore WU XP.iso. When I check install Windows Update.cmd, and restart, I can't search Windows Updates, because i become an error. The ISO says xp only.

Do you have try it with this X13-18651.img? Or with english ISO only? With the german img,With the German version of Windows Server 2003 32-bit, I only get an error message with the Windows Update page. I click on "Suchen" and a few seconds later I get an error message and nothing happen.

Thank you Dark Monkey for your excellent help. With your new Restore WU.iso, Windows Update is now work fine in Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Edition 32 Bit german. The only, what I do manually, was install the german Version of Internet Explorer 8.0.
