Run PowerShell 7.5.x on Windows 7

sfc /scannow does not work, i tried it many times. It finds corrupted files but cannot fix it. Do you know if i do it from within booted win7 usb stick, will sfc used winsxs folder from usb or still winsxs (which seems to be corrupted) from ssd?

 

If corrupted files found better clean install windows 7

 

It's not worth it to me. I can live without the newest Powershell . When i will be doing next reinstall, it will be Linux.
I am running win7 many years without reinstall. It is surprisingly very stable and it would take too much time to setup every detail in system and backup/restore settings for every app i installed.
But i have a hunch that it might be fixable if i force sfc to use clean files from ISO as the source of the repairing process.

I'm currently running Powershell 5.1 on Windows 7. Is there any good reason why I would want to run a newer version, patched or not?
