It's not worth it to me. I can live without the newest Powershell . When i will be doing next reinstall, it will be Linux. I am running win7 many years without reinstall. It is surprisingly very stable and it would take too much time to setup every detail in system and backup/restore settings for every app i installed. But i have a hunch that it might be fixable if i force sfc to use clean files from ISO as the source of the repairing process.

I'm currently running Powershell 5.1 on Windows 7. Is there any good reason why I would want to run a newer version, patched or not?
I would be careful and not blindly trust AI like that because by default it isn't compatible anymore like pm67310 said. First it needs to be patched and only then it's possible to know if it really still works. EDIT : Powershell 7.6.1 has been released, and standalone x86 version is back on the menu
I don't always rely or trust AI either. I was hoping to find a MS website to get official info from and share it here.
