you can remove those Uninstall Cortana 9=>2 Uninstall Connect (in the next version) 9=>12 Uninstall Store 9=>1=>29 Uninstall Settings : I don't believe you can do that (Just leave it Cuz you will need it)
hmm i must have missed that somehow. Gonna try now as for settings - I dont mean uninstall it in its entirety. I just want to remove it from the start menu/programs area. the icon/shortcut. You can still get it by the mini-icon on the left among other ways but i digress (and im sure your well aware). Nonetheless - deepest thanks. off to try to remove connect etc.. no clue how i missed those!
whelp, you were right (sort of). its a fresh windows install so i figured id try edge again. same outcome, still there. (i know you said you'll look into it) store is now gone so yay to that. the issue is it appears to remove cortana and connect except the icons are still there in the start menu? I click on them and nothing happens, but therye still clogging up the start menu which was the issue in the first place any ideas?
actually, cortana does nothing but edge and connect still work. so same problem there i reckon. also your "remove safely remove icon" tweak doesnt seem to work. Mine never disappeared so i removed and re-put the usb drive back in after a reboot (being thorough) and all it did was ask me what i wanted to do with it again (open folder/take no action etc).
I just tried it on the latest Build (14393.10) and it didn't work I believe they changed packages names I will dig deeper and Hopefully find the solution
Edge Doesn't work (For now) and Connect you will be able to remove it in the next Version 3.6 that i will release when i make Uninstall Edge Work remove safely remove icon Now is removed The window that you are seeing is AutoRun Window
Yes This is what's working : Uninstall Connect App (Build 14393 and above) Install the Linux Bash Shell (Windows 10) Not working : Uninstall Edge
After the Anniversary Update, i found that using the "Master TELEMETRY and Data collection Switch" prevented downloading apps in the Windows Store. Using "Enable" to restore defaults let me download apps again after the update. Re-installed apps seem to run again even using the Disable=Stop Telemetry option, but Store download again. I did some testing and limited it down to the Other Telemetry - Windows data collection servers setting that is specifically causing the issue. I guess it's blocking Store downloads.
Thank's for Testing I Can't Help for now just Broke my Store while trying to test the ability to Add Store to Windows Enterprise LTSB or Windows Server
No problem, I just left the setting disabled. I also edited my post, as I can't be sure if it caused my apps to close on their own, I think that was a different issue that a lot of other people had. But it definitely broke Store downloads.
