Before I became a member of My Digital Life and Ten Forums, I never heard of the Simplix update pack.
I've always clean installed Windows 7 SP1 and then updated it through the usual steps.
Today, I decided to obtain the 856 MB size UpdatePack7R2-20.5.20.exe file.
As soon as the 250 GB solid state drive I ordered arrives and is installed in a Dell OptiPlex 9020 minitower, I plan to clean install Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit in it.
Once the install process is complete and the device drivers have been installed and the activation process has been done, I plan to use the described Simplix update pack.
Is using it a pretty straight forward process, or is there anything I need to be aware of?

You could create a Windows 7 ISO integrating the latest simplix pack and addons (DirectX, Visual C++, .NET Framework) and also drivers specific to your hardware if you want.

There is a 20.5.30 patch that fixes some issues, or you can wait a few weeks for next month's pack.

If Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 isn't part of the 20.5.20 package, I can install it after I install the device drivers and before I run the package.
I know nothing about integrating files into an ISO, so that won't work for me.
I may take your advice and wait for the June update.
    Thanks.

There are specific addons to include the above mentioned in parenthesis.

Starting with the 20.5.30 patch you can now include these addons in a live OS simplix installation.

There are also changes and fixes in this patch that affect a live install, see previous page for more information.

Offline integration or ISO creation isn't so hard as it seems; Enthousiast made it a breeze with the MDL Win 7 Tool.

I updated a previous post to include all the latest files to date.

I used Simplix Update Pack 20.5.20 for the first time yesterday after doing a clean install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit and installing the necessary drivers and activating it.

The entire process involved 3 installs of multiple updates, followed by a restart after each set of installs, followed by a disk cleanup, followed by Windows 7 loading.

After Windows Update was started and did a check for updates, Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 were detected and installed.

After a restart and another check for updates, the May 2020 Security Monthly Quality Rollup and MNF 4.8 updates were installed.

The SMQR updated Internet Explorer to version 11.0.190, so it's now up-to-date.

The post-EOL June 2020 updates are scheduled to be released in 2 days, so I'm curious to see if Windows Update will detect and install them.

If you are replying to me, where can I find version 20.5.30?

The tool wasn't work here. I created ISO wih it, the installer see all devices during install, but after complete install the system cannot see: trackpad, wifi, USB3, Intel video and so on. CSM must be enabled in BIOS.

Trackpad and vga drivers are not included, UEFI support is present but with CSM enabled only, did you provide wifi and the "so on" drivers for your specific system?

The tool only integrates drivers needed for direct use of USB3 ports, wifi/lan and nvme.

Thanks for providing a download link for the 20.5.30 patch.

Does this patch need to be applied only after the Simplix Update Pack 20.5.20 is put to use and Windows 7 is brought up to date to May 2020?

No, this patcher has to be executed next to the 20.5.20 (or 20.5.22) installer. It will generate the full 20.5.30 pack.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say the 20.5.30 patch needs to be generated next to the full 20.5.20 pack.
I apologize for sounding like a pest.
It's probably best that I wait for the next update of the full pack.

The patcher needs one of the previously released packs, 20.5.20 i believe, at least, but i did post a link to the full package in that post too.

You just put the old 20.5.20 pack and the 20.5.30 patcher into the same directory and execute the patcher. It will then create the new 20.5.30 pack from the old one.

    Carlos:

Thanks for clarifying how to do it - which was very simple to do.
20.5.30 was run after I did a clean install of Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit.
I'm in the process right now of installing drivers and getting the operating system activated.
Once that's done, I'll fire up Windows Update and see what it does and which updates it displays.

To automatically install updates on a working system together with IE11 and reboot: Rename Pack to
    UpdatePack7R2--ie11++.exe

Windows 7 support ended on January 2020... all these new KBxxxxxxx are non-public updates??
Did someone paid for that or Microsoft continue to update and support Windows 7 ??
