Oh I see now it changes all the file dates inside the newly created iso file,
I was thinking it was like the unix command "touch" and would just change the date on the newly created iso.

So I've downloaded UpdatePack7R2-23.2.15.exe to my Win 7 Pro system which has not been updated since Win 7 end of life Jan/2020. I'm also running DAZ loader (for ASUS MB) since the system was installed many years ago. Is there anything I need to do or look out for before I run/install the updates?

Had a quick look at the included updates in the file and there are many from before that date. I assume the ones that have already been installed will just be ignored?

    TIA

Just rename the pack to "UpdatePack7R2--++.exe", put the latest WA addons next to it (optional) and run the pack, it can reboot the system once or twice and it will install all needed updates.

Thanks. What is the password to the SiMPLiX_AiO_ISO_Tool_Addons_4_0_22.12.14.zip file? That is the correct one right?

Download the latest WA addons from the given link to the WA addons post.

    Hi

I'm trying to update my old win 7 system with this, but after it auto reboots, it has been stuck at:

"Stage 3 of 3. Configuring Windows updates. 13% complete. Do not turn off your computer"

How long should this take, as it's been 20 minutes here?

EDIT: All good! Just took like an hour and a half with like 15+ reboots to get through all the updates. The last time I've actually updated this system was probably 8 years ago! So maybe that's why it took quite a bit longer.

"Legacy BIOS (x86 & x64) and UEFI booting (x64 and needs CSM enabled)"

KB5017361 adds secure boot to Windows 7 -- I wonder if it works with pure UEFI now.

Secure Boot and UEFI are two separate things. For all intents and purposes, windows 7 is and always will be incompatible with UEFI firmware without compatibility module, or at least until you heavily modify it.

Dose these updates need for Windows Server 2008 R2? it seems some of them has been replaced or superseded.
