The OP offers multiple download options to obtain the updatepack, the USB3 generic driver will be integrated/installed when the updatepack is used as described.
Just wanted to double-check, is there a manual installation technique in the OP ? I do prefer manual installation for my initial effort with this. Also, I have an unconventional set-up, in that I copied a Win 7 install.esd into Win 10 installation USB. So I'm inclined not to try untested slipstreaming if I can avoid it.
The win 7 install.esd in a win 10 ISO will be the modern scripts, but they need clean MSDN ISOs to be able to integrate the updates. Untested slipstreaming? You mean updates integration? this pack is developed for over 12 years The updatepack can be run by simple command lines, as shown at the OP or maybe the ancient batch files (not maintained for a very long time): Or simply drag and drop the ISO on the updatepack. But this is my project (approved by @simplix): MDL Win 7 Tool for SiMPLiX UpdatePack AiO ISO (with install.wim/esd) Creation
Sorry about the confusion, I meant untested by me. I understand this is a good solution, I'm only concerned about spinning my wheels via my user errors. I'm not sure whether or not you're saying I can't slipstream into the Win 10 installation USB that's using a Win 7 install.esd ? Are you saying the resources at the mediafire link won't work without slipstreaming ?
install.esd can not be serviced, install.wim is needed, when al is done you can compress the install.wim to install.esd. When you want a win 10 ISO with updated win 7 install.esd, use the modern scripts from my (recommended) tool. What mediafire link?
Thanks so much! Now I understand. Before I read your last reply, I went into the USB 3 thread. That other thread's original post has a link to USB drivers at mediafire.
