Noob question, yes, i did search if someone already asked, if i install win 7 ult SP1 activate with daz loader, can i use this tool to install updates esu etc without issues? Also, can download the simplix updates before installing win 7, if i am on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS?I just dont want to sit there and wait with a fresh win 7 install,or there might even be issues with internet connectivity, basically i want offline simplix,if possible.
Yes. You can download the updatepack but only use it on a windows host. Best is to create an uptodate Win 7 ISO, using the pack. - You can drag and drop an untouched win 7 SP1 ISO on the updatepack (windows host only) or - You can use MDL Win 7 Tool for SiMPLiX UpdatePack AiO ISO (with install.wim/esd) Creation to create an uptodate Win 7 ISO (windows 10 or up host).
I never use a clean untouched MSDN ISO, i always create an uptodate ISO to start with, never any problems. When i have time i will try again with a clean MSDN ISO.
Ha, coming back to it later on, I am happy to report it worked! 800+MB... Installing as we speak on an old Acer Aspire 5935G laptop (various flavours of Linux not good enough, sadly - old story with the drivers, like built-in speakers not working etc.). But even under Windows, Nvidia and Intel drivers driving me mad (many things not working, not possible to install, due to missing files, libraries, "can't find an entry point in DLLs etc.) - it's a mess... Thanx again!!!
