Hello everyone, For some reason, when I try to integrate the latest Simplix UpdatePack into a MSDN Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 ISO, and all updates integrate normally except KB5073695, where it fails with "access is denied", and only updates until 2020. I have attached my log information for reference. The integrating is being done using Windows 11 25H2 x64 with AV protection paused. Is this by any chance one of those crappy updated ISOs who were available on msft servers for a while? By what method did you try to update the ISO? Anyway, it is always best to use a clean SP1 ISO as source ISO.
Pulled just Enterprise from my x64 AIO (2011 SP1 refresh Enterprise with one languagepack integrated). Dragged the iso over the updatepack.exe with the .net4.8 addon present in the same folder: Code: The installation log of UpdatePack 7 / 2008 R2 / 26.1.15 Installation start time - 4:47:47 21.01.2026 Operating system - Windows 7 Enterprise SP1 x64 UpdRoots - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB917607 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2533552 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2545698 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2574819-v2 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2592687 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2603229 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2670838 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2685811 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2685813 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2729094-v2 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2750841 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2761217 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2818604 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2830477 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2864202 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Boot) KB2864202 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Recovery) KB2900986 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB2990941-v3 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Boot) KB2990941-v3 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Recovery) KB3046269 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3059317 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3064209 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3087873-v2 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Boot) KB3087873-v2 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed (Recovery) KB3102429-v2 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3138612 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3156016 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3159398 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3161102 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3161949 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3179573 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3184143 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB4019990 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB4474419-v3 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB4490628 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB5071810 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed Internet Explorer 11 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed IE-Hyphenation-en - Integration of the update has been successfully completed IE-LangPack-bg-bg - Integration of the update has been successfully completed IE-Spelling-bg - Integration of the update has been successfully completed IE-Spelling-en - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB3125574-v4 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB5066150 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed KB5073695 - Integration of the update has been successfully completed Addon - Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 Installation finish time - 5:00:58 21.01.2026 The number of installed updates - 42 Total installation time of UpdatePack - 13:11 Operation of the program has been successfully finished
Does anyone have this issue with SiMPLiX when the system dies completely with an UNSUPPORTED_PROCESSOR bugcheck after you slipstream the updates into an image? The source ISO is Windows 7 Ultimate with Service Pack 1 (Polish, x64), and the hashes are correct (SHA1: C6620AE85D42FCA40C202B68C0E7124BC0EDA7C2). I've tested 25.9.10, 25.12.10 and 26.1.15.
What dies, the host or the install with the updated ISO? Were there errors shown in the integration log? Is the system overclocked?
A-ManWare: I recently integrated Simplix UpdatePack7R2 26.1.15 in an original clean Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit disc. The integration process went fine, as it always does with a newly released version. I tend to agree with Enthousiast. The problem is likely with the ISO you are using.
In preparation of the final release of the finai MDL SiMPLiX tool i ran 20+ update integration sessions with it and test installed approx. 15 times and all were working fine.

The source ISO I used was en_windows_7_enterprise_with_sp1_x64_dvd_u_677651.iso. Turns out, for some reason, where the WIM was mounted had some permission errors, so I did it on a blank Windows 11 virtual machine, and everything integrated without any issues. Thank you for your help anyway!
@Enthousiast original windows 7 sp1 after using simplix from january 2026 > bootloop in vmware .. tested with version from 2024 not bootloop..
The exe probably is compiled by some method that the AV doesn't like, or because it contains the anti-telemetry stuff, i can't remember seeing a report about an AV being triggered for a long time now.
One more try before I cancel my registration. "I just used the update today and after it finished installing my Antivirus quarantined something called Upd7Live.exe. There is some mention of it on various sites that seem to be undecided if it is harmful or benign. I also see comments about people dumping W7 because the update no longer works. Help. Can anyone else confirm what is actually happening?"
