I have Win7 and XP installed on a PC that is working. I purchased a new PC. I restored both partitions to the new PC. I'm getting a BSOD 0x7b on both. I have downloaded the xhciDriverWin7x86 for the new PC. Will Simplix install the driver into an OS that is not running?
I understand Simplix will install the drivers into an ISO file to install the OS from scratch. I have a lot of programs installed in the current build and I'd like to transfer my current os's to the new PC.

    Thanks,
    Docfxit

It's kinda hard to run simplix when the OS won't run. Sounds like you'd be bettter off with simplix integrated into your iso before install. Of course, there are ways to install a driver on a non-working system, which requires something besides simplix.

Boot to safety mode , that will use just a basic set of drivers, then you can copy the drivers to the resource folder where they can be found.

    Thanks for the reply.

I can't boot into the machine in normal or safe mode. I get a BSOD 0x7b

    Thanks,

Imma go on a limb and bet on your "restoring the partitions" as a problem. Just perform a clean install and copy over whatever data you need. It's not that much of a hassle.

BSOD means clean install like shhnedo says.

Boot with Hiren's cd and copy your data out to a portable, then clean install and copy it back.

We're a long ways away from the topic of the OP which is what I came looking for

You need to reset the HAL "Hardware Abstraction Layer" in windows offline (& possibly load current ahci drivers) before you could boot into your OS.
By doing this Windows 7 will re-detect your hardware & not try booting your old config. If you don't, it will blue-screen...
The last time I did it I used "Shadow Protect IT" to reset the HAL. There must be other tools available too...

    Good morning,

I have been investigating Simplix and what it does etc.
I wanted to download the batch files: Simplix_Batches_Win7.zip - 6 KB as posted in #1100 but my AVG said that it was unsafe. Is it OK to download and save this file or is there a new location in which I can do this please.

    Thanks in advance.

I still don't see a new post or update about it on oszone forum which states it is officially released.

if i'm correct you don't put the net 4.7.1 into updates folder, you put it into packs folder. Correct ?

why do you choose MSMG to integrate updates ? there are other tools here that allow to do this as well as the ones from @abbodi1406 (Win7UI, Win81UI,Win10UI)
Do you have any reason to choose MSMG tool to integrate updates rather than other tools as the ones from @abbodi1406 ? would you say that it's the best tool to integrate updates ? if so, why ?

ok that's what i do as well concerning win7.
what about win8.1 and win10 ? which tool do you use to integrate updates ? MSMG or the ones from @abbodi1406 ? or do you choose to integrate them in audit mode then sysprep as i do ?
